In light of recent spikes in site traffic, it has become apparent that our current hosting plan on Project Umbrella is unsustainable, which will lead to frequent down-times and if worst comes to worst, indefinite shutdown. In order to curb this, we have just purchased a more dedicated server. However, this costs more, and it is more than I as an individual can make.
Project Umbrella itself, since its founding, has single-handedly expanded the level of information on the series available to fans, with much money and effort put into providing material which fans would otherwise never see. We've revealed uncountable amounts of information and strived for accuracy, helping to make the series somewhat coherent from a storyline perspective while providing a plethora of media. Even just today, we are the first and only to bring a professional translation of Jessica's Report.
With the new host, we will finally be able to begin uploading videos once again. We will be replacing most of the ones already on the site, as well as providing even more, most in HD. The image section is scheduled for a major expansion and revision which will reinstate it as the most high-quality collection of images related to the series. We also have many article revisions to be added, our articles also being the basis for most of the profiles on Biohaze.
We also have an upcoming beta section which is guaranteed to blow every past attempt out of the water. An interview with Yasuhisa Kawamura, the scenario writer of BIOHAZARD 3, is also upcoming. In a short while, we will have 90% of the files in the series accurately translated and will begin full work on translating the scripts of each game in the series. We are doing our part to ensure that this year is the best year for the series yet.
Donators will be given exclusive access to a new board on the PU forums where they can view in-progress site projects before anyone else. Other potential perks are planned.
