I made a facebook page about uncut Saturn versions of Resident Evil, and one person who used to have it now speaks the truth. His name is Romolo Montanari.
Romolo Montanari:
Italian: "Un tempo avevo una versione europea incensurata poi l'ho perduta! Mannaggia a me.
Ad oggi quella versione vale molto tra i collezionisti. Il filmato introduttivo era
a colori con tutte le scene violente della versione giapponese originale. Però aveva
un unica censura:la scena della testa che cade atterra dalle mani del primo zombi che
si incontra è stata tagliata."
English Translated: "I once had an uncensored European version of the game, then I lost it! God damn me.
To date, that version is worth a lot of collectors. The opening movie was in color with all the violent
scenes of the original Japanese version. But it had a single complaint: the scene of Kenneth's half eaten
head that lands on the rug when you meet the first zombie has been cut. "
