There was one along the lines of reach the RPD in RE2 without picking up any items, go to the gate across from the main door and you'd be able to open the gate. Once outside, you'd play a small section as Rebecca on the streets of Raccoon City. Oh how many times I tried...
Yes. This is the only one I ever recall hearing when I was younger, and I do believe someone here on THIA ended up scanning an old magazine article that only perpetuated the rumor to us young, impressionable 90s kids.

I should still have the article. I was one of those kids that kept scrapbooks, lol. Must take a pic & upload.

I remember one friend back in the day told me you could find Chris' bike with a note reading "I'm sorry Claire" taped to it on the train at the end of RE2. Of course it's BS. I remember hearing about a zombie Ada as well, but yeah, I was little and gullible then.
I tried to get Infinite Ammo in Survivor many times, thanks to a gaming magazine. They had that cheat in a magazine back then, though I don't remember the name of it. They only had cheats in their magazines.

It was probably a Tips and Tricks magazine. They sold really well before the internet took off lol.

I know man. I saw this cheat online for RE2 and it's called "reserve ammo". What the hell does that even do? I know the code is fake but what the hell would it do to begin with? Put ammo in the crate?
I remember there was a rumor that went around my group of friends back when I was younger for RE3. It had to do with the loading door sequences and how apparently, in one room right when the door opens, Nemesis is supposedly standing right there on the other side. Kind of like that one door in RE2 where there's 2 zombies on the other side for a jump scare. Needless to say, I never did see this scene, but I was always on the look out for it whenever I played RE3.

That can happen if he is on the loose and you exit the save room in the alley between the restaurant and street that connects to newspaper office.

Seriously? Wow, out of the three times I've played RE3, I have not seen that scene once. He appears on the other side of the save rooms door? Well, looks like I gotta replay RE3 again.
Just enter the restaurant and when he turns up hide/run or whatever and he wil pursue you through the streets, enter the save room and when you exit he be right there waiting. Most areas he stays offscreen until a camera angle can blindsight his entrance.
