But with 2,000,000 players? That's a lot of people playing it, and this is the first I hear of it. Sure it's in Japanese, but still. It's barely been out a year.
Creating non-remastered HD versions of Code Veronica and RE4: They do!
Creating additional servers for stupid cellphone games: They do!
Creating generic shooters with main storyline titles: They surely do!
Creating HD version of Outbreak with new servers: They don't do! ¬¬

Because all of those sold better/have bigger fanbases than both Outbreak titles combined?

Im Pretty sure if they do release Outbreak 1&2 HD with new servers it will be a hit , Why the PS2 Versions didnt sell well ?
1- Not many people knew about the game.
2- Some people had the Phat models "Which is a big problem for online gaming on PS2"
3- Some even didnt know the PS2 had online ability.
4- Outbreak was released on PS2 ONLY ! Which explains its low sales along with the above reasons ....
If they do make ports for both PS3/360 With improvements and online back , it will sell more than any RE Title "Especially ORC" .....
We are in online gaming generation and many people play Online games , unlike the PS2 Days where not many people were paying , did MGS3:Subsistence have many people playing MGO ? Probably the same thing .....
THIS CELL PHONE CRAP Has 2,000,000 Players , 999% pretty sure HD Ports would have more players than those eh ....
Darkness : Tactical reload wasn't even in deadly silence LMAO
^ Lol ...

Outbreak is unfortunate. It is incomplete and was designed with a big ambition in mind (20 scenarios, huge story), but the constraints of the PS2 ensured that it wasn't going to live up to its potential. Now it is probably too late.
It's a valid comparison because both SF and RE are popular titles.
Both SF3 and Outbreak don't have a big fanbase.
The only thing is that SF3 is a main-storyline game and Outbreak is not.
But it still may work, since Operation Raccoon City and Mercenaries 3D are not even canon and got a lot of public.

SF3 was an arcade game. Outbreak was not. Both are very different games. It's not a very good comparison.
Operation Raccoon City sold primarily on brand power and with the appeal to the "shooter" crowd. Mercenaries 3D didn't really sell that well or get a lot of public attention, but it was relatively cheap to develop so it wasn't much of a problem. Revelations outsold it, but didn't sell as well due to failed "word-of-mouth" marketing, being released on the 3DS, and being released only a month before a more widely available game in the series.
