Joehrex, why don't you get into contact with the person who made you believe that an uncensored US Playstation version of RE3 exists in the first place and ask him where he got it from?
Didn't someone upload a youtube video of this apparently uncut version?
Go ask him about it, if anybody can shed light on this rumor, it's the user who uploaded that video!
Personally, I refuse to believe that such a version exits unless someone can come up with waterproof evidence that there is an uncut US version that is neither Trial Edition nor Gamecube release.
That youtube video could be taken from the Trial Edition, after all.
It wouldn't take much effort to unlock the title screen of the retail version in the demo to make it look legit.
Don't take this too far, I really don't think that a "feature" as minor as a couple of flying zombie heads which do not affect the gameplay at all is worth all the trouble and wasted time. But that's just my opinion, of course...Comment

I don't know, doesn't it seem sooooo strange that the video keeps changing between screen tone and contrast the whole time, specially when some english text is about to appear? Or the fact that one part of the video seems to be recorded from a VCR while the other seems to be really recorded by a capture board with the correct color tones? More specifically, when the guy enter the menus, the "green tone" of the screen vanishes. And still been lying about pre-releases that he confirmed that has uncensored features. It's easier to believe that curator has secretly uploaded RE 1.5 on rapidshare.Comment

To me the video is fake purely based on the fact that there is no English text and decapitation in one seamless clip of the video. That's not to doubt Hcloud13, but if I saw him decapitate a head in the same screen as an object he clicked on which shows English text, which can be done, I would 100% believe. This does not happen so it leaves me to question the authenticity of the video. Like I say that's not to doubt him I'd just like to see more, assuming this is just a regular RE3 disc and not some ultra expensive disc or some pre release copy he's not allowed to talk about, it's not too much to do this for the RE community so we can confirm for sure this build actually exists.Comment

Well, I spent the afternoon analysing the video. If it is fake, then it has to be either a very good one or just a regular switch of versions. Before the room where the decapitation occours, the game is 100% american, since there's no pause button in the japanese version. The "this guy is online" windows before and after that scene are also legit analysing the frames carefully, but again, he could've been playing the japanese version in the moment of the decapitation.Originally posted by geluda View Post
Another thing that got me interested is the fact that he pauses the game when he's trying to access the inventory. Since the pause button on the american version is the inventory button in the japanese version, it's possible he did a quick recording of both the japanese and american version and got confused about the buttons to access the inventory. Maybe a proof that the video is fake.
I also did a reconstitution of the video and everything seems to be legit, except for the decapitations of course.
But I wondered why didn't that guy just take the shotgun out of the chest, go to the next 2 rooms, do the decapitation thing and check the "It's locked from the other side" door.Comment
