Its an one huge mission where wesker/ada send in a strike force (leon, barry, luthur west etc) to rescue alice out from umbrella's prison (control by red queen). Luthur west and barry died. Ada, leon, jill and becky (a girl who's simulated to br alice's clone daughter). Everyone people you sees are clones. Every environments you sees are simulated testing area for umbrella to demostrate the virus effect to the clients.

Apparently wesker and ada has defected from umbrella and they (along with the surviving human race) are now fighting against umbrella and their undead army, and they needed alice's help...wesker even injected the virus to alice to return her the Superhuman "power".

Yes, wesker turned from umbrella ceo who had been experimenting and killing everyone with the virus in the past few movies, to one of the people who are now trying to save last of the surviving humanity.

For those who cares, las plaga which rodriquez used, only enhanced her fighting ability and endurance in the movie. it didnt mutate her.

but the russian zombies are 'las plaga undead' though.

Time and time again, Paul never ceases to show how much of an incompetent writer and director he is. He didn't know where to go with the clones he set up in Extinction, so he killed them off at the beginning of Afterlife. Now he doesn't know where to go with a powerless Alice, so he gave her back her powers... Also Wesker defects from Umbrella and helps her.... Did I read that right? Oh jesus christ. It's okay Alice, I tried eating you before but no hard feelings, right?

Why does she even need her powers? She seems to manage fine without them. Watching Afterlife, you'd almost forget that the T-cells in her system were nullified in the beginning. And Wesker goes from eating people with his Las Plagas abilities to wanting to save the world? Or was he a clone too? And are they referring to Las Plagas as a separate thing now, when before they made it out as a product of the T-virus? The contradictions are crazy...

So far I think Extinction has been the worst for plotholes, inconsistencies and continuity errors. They all got plenty that movie really takes the cake.

Milla: Oh....... the creators....... of the game? Uhm......Well, I think they're like the Umbrella Corporation. They walk on set and they're all nice and friendly, but, then they look at what we're doing and they kinda just have this look like.......o.0 expression on their faces and make me scared of what they're thinking

Milla: The people at Capcom change all the time. One moment they'll give you Jill Valentine and then the next game she's just bad for some.......hapsicle reason. I mean which is ok, they're not script writers. No one is able to really connect all of the Resident Evil characters in capcom's world because it's always constantly changing and sometimes it doesn't even make sense. That's why you need a script writer to come in and braid it all together to make something cohesive.

Milla: I get requests all the time from fans who are like Where's so and so character or why don't you focus a story on caliban cove? I mean, I know there's like 20 or so of you hardcore gamers who actually really care about stuff like that but, for the rest of the world, who really cares? I mean, what's caliban cove? *laughs*

I find this quite incredible considering the way these movies have turned out.
