Yeah, this animation was caught a while ago. Some people extracted it for retail mods. His idle animation before you select him is from the prototype too I believe. It's a great little leftover and as you mentioned the borders too. As for another spelling mistake in that same image, "Reminton" whilst Chris' is spelt correctly.

When even idiots like GManWillis suddenly appear to be part of the loop, you start doubting the integrity and credibility of the people who are involved.

Anybody notice how when Leon is selected (at the select cast screen) in Extreme Battle Mode, he does his 1.5 handgun animation (or at least homage to it)
Not to mention Chris's RE1 SFX that were used in 1.5 originally (until they changed them in Era 5) are in there for good measure too, reused.
And let's not forget the reused text and borders here also - practically taken from 1.5 Main Character Select screen and the inventory.
EDIT: LMAO - Spotted a spelling mistake .. tut tut Capcom! Harb - Herb LOL
RaccoonSurvivor, want some more food for thought for your BH1.5 and BH2 comparison? Pick up Claire A and Leon B and pay close attention to gameplay progression and narrative elements. There's a lot that was "recycled" from BH1.5.
Also, on the matter of weapon animations, Elza's Era 4 Build shotgun animations were "ported" over to Jill's BH3, while Elza's Era 5 Build shotgun animations were "ported" over to BH2 retail.
And Enigmatism, get your ass in this thread man. I think RaccoonSurvivor could use your help in mapping out the layout similarities between BH2 and BH1.5, and no one is as familiar as you with that.

Spoiler:
Basement:
- The two BH1.5 basement levels were placed side-by-side on a single level in BH2 (with some alterations, notably the parking lot). The shapes of the corridors are almost the same.
- The Kennel and Prison had their cell counts reduced by more than half, and their layouts were simplified. Notice that the Prison's sliding door-fence is closed in BH2 and open in BH1.5.
- The parking lot and service garage from BH1.5 were merged in BH2, so the sewer entrance had to be moved.
- The power rooms, armouries, and morgues are very similar, but no firing range.
First Floor:
- The interrogation rooms are very similar (no surprise there).
- In both BH1.5 and BH2, the west corridor provides access to the upper floors and the east corridor provides access to the lower floors.
- The shutters were changed from obstructing paths to protecting the windows on both the east and west corridors.
- The sub-lobby (waiting room) in BH2 has an adjoined reception area (the office where Marvin is found), which is analogous to the reception room (Office A) in BH1.5.
- The waiting room of BH2 itself is loosely influenced by the main lobby of BH1.5.
- The east office in BH2 is analogous to Office B in BH1.5
Second Floor:
- The west wing of 2F in BH2 is analogous to 2F in BH1.5.
- The Library in BH2 is loosely based on the Firing Range in BH1.5 (notably the bookcase puzzle)
- The corridor where Leon encounters Sherry in BH2 (with the vending machines) is loosely based on the 2F lift corridor in BH1.5, which is confirmed to have vending machines.
- The radio room in BH1.5 became the STARS office in BH2 (IGAS is even using a similar ceiling design and wallpaper)
- The medical room in BH1.5 likely served as the inspiration for the "autopsy room", which was a BH2 retail-era proof-of-concept design.
- The media (archive) room in BH1.5 was divided into the file room and the evidence room in BH2 (you can even fit their shapes together to reconstruct the original).
Third Floor:
- The east wing of 2F in BH2 is analogous to 3F in BH1.5 (both have roof access)
- The Chief's office was made far more complex, with additional corridors and passages.
- The secretary's office and adjoining corridor in BH2 are analogous to those on 3F in BH1.5 (per the creative licence of IGAS)
- The helipads are analogous (each having connections to the outside street level and the Chief's zone)
Misc.
- Amazingly enough, the positioning of the secret lift in RE2 lines up with the power room in the same way that the main lift lines up with the power room in BH1.5.
- The puzzle in BH1.5 whereby you combine the MD with the MD player to gain access to the media room was reused in BH3's hospital.
- Marvin in BH2 adopts the role that Roy or Chief Irons (depending on the protagonist) plays in BH1.5.
- The save room in BH1.5's Sewer chapter was split into two (one for Leon and one for Claire) in BH2. The opposite happened in the Lab chapter, wherein Leon's and Elza's save rooms were merged into one. In the Factory Chapter, it is most likely that Leon and Elza have separate save rooms as well (Leon's would likely be the one found on the Trial Disc, as the development of Elza's scenario lagged behind). It technically cannot be confirmed, but both rooms are similarly sized, have the same door types, and feature door mats in front of them (heavily implying carpeted offices). For conspiracy theorists who point out the second floor of offices in the Factory (as seen from the outside), it was just a mistake by Capcom.
- As most people can see, the BH2 Lab and Subway are just reduced versions of the BH1.5 Lab and Subway (The BH2 Factory was heavily reduced from the original BH1.5 version).
- The "central hub" of the BH1.5 Sewer is conjoined with the main alligator tank, which is also the case in BH2. The passage between them is on the upper floor in both cases (though BH2 added an additional one).
- The box puzzle in the sewer treatment plant in BH2 was carried over to the "baby gator" pool in the northwest corner of the BH1.5 sewer.
- The tidal wave sequence in BH1.5 was borrowed from BH1.
- In both BH1.5 and BH2, the two protagonists enter the sewer from different manholes spaced quite far apart.
...There's likely a lot more, but this is what I can come up with off the top of my head for now.Last edited by Enigmatism415; 09-27-2013, 07:47 PM.

Some dates can also be provided, although they should always be considered an estimation.
7.1 Remodeled Backgrounds (ERA 2 to 3)
Would want to see a study of backgrounds from all eras (7.1~3) but if only one then will go with 7.1
And
12. Different Builds (SHOWCASES THE 7 DIFFERENT BUILDS)
Looking forward to it, man.
