Though the part with him laying down reminds me of when you encounter Irons in 1.5 on the sofa. It's possible the animations were reused. I wouldn't put it past CAPCOM.

Hmm...
=Zombie_X;245648]I don't think so, but they could use that animation. As in Era 5 Leon was holding up Marvin by the shoulders and helped him to the waiting room. I wonder if Marvin turns into a Zombie? Anticipation!
Biohazard 1995, excellent avatar! I love how you changed Grant in there.
Well for the time being, I think I'll play Source Next BIO2...
Why does that sound familiar...

Speaking of escorting people, one of the photos WelshJ used to bitch-slap The Team with has Kendo with Elza in the Boiler Room. It got me thinking, just how much time do you spend with your "partner" following you around? It's a lot more time than I originally thought, and to be honest it's starting to look like the alpha stages of RE1 to me. You know, where the NPC of either Chris or Jill followed your character around for practically the whole game. Might be Capcom re-using their assets again..........It matters not to me which virus you wield. Yours is merely a pathetic attempt to master the powers of death. The power you seek is MINE, and with this insurmountable power, I offer a litany of oblivion even a virus cannot prevent..............and you cannot escape.

I really wish they will upgrade the characters animations. I don't mind Leon and Elza holding their gun near the shoulder, but the same animation for a gunless John looks really bad. It reeeaaaallyyy needs to be corrected. But we don't really know how much has changed since last june. Maybe everything we've seen until new is from an older build.

So the most I'd expect the team to do is import some animations, maybe, but these animations, like gun holding animations there, I think they're staying. Mainly because, the way I'm seeing it, is that they're working with what they've got, trying to re-create the game.
I do, however, believe the screenshots are not very recent."I will stay behind, to gaze at the sun. The sun is a wondrous body. Like a magnificent father! If only I could be so grossly incandescent!"

Next time I'll put a disclaimer with giant, glowing letters that I'M NOT DEMANDING ANYTHING IT'S JUST A SUGGESTION. And a suggestion to not post release dates for the videos which is so they don't get overwhelmed by the amount of work that is the project + video creation/edition, as it was with that promised video hyped up with those "advents", which was obviously rushed and incomplete...Hail the heros of the revolution!

Holy crap a lot has happened since my last visit!
Re: About the zomie damage thing. Thanks guys, I figured it had to be one way or another. Either way, they're still very cool and creepy looking! I just played Dino Crisis 2 for the first time and am really enjoying it. It does look very similar to 1.5. If DC2 is any indication, I think i'd also enjoy 1.5 quite a bit. One thing i'm wondering about now: in DC2, there are no 'ink ribbon' equivalent items to save your game. You just go up to a computer terminal to save your game or to buy weapons and items. I really like this system. So was 1.5's save system pretty much intended to be the same way?sigpic

Just look at the Skyrim DLC for PS3. They didn't give dates, and everyone and their grandmother freakout and cried about how they were cancelling it because they wouldn't talk about it and blah blah.
Boy, am I glad they get to eat their own words...
Copy/Paste with the Final Fantasy Versus XIII actually being XV...
Actually, does anyone remember back before RE2 came out, if there was like any huge gap in coverage between 1.5 and it's scrapping?
Was it just announced spontaneously, or was there any suspicious sign that something may have been going on behind the scenes?

It was carried over into it's retail form, and the subsequent titles in the series.
Plus, we've got that into scene that was even presented with typewriter text/effects.Last edited by Leonardos5; 02-09-2013, 04:52 PM."I will stay behind, to gaze at the sun. The sun is a wondrous body. Like a magnificent father! If only I could be so grossly incandescent!"

Clearly the save function is there in the PSM era builds, I'm curious if any objects actually exist in the original beta that allow you to save the game or whether they just found the flag that sends you to the save screen. My instincts are telling me the latter but you never know.
After seeing the B1 map from their build, it's funny to realise that we've been trying to reconstruct map layouts from eras which actually are quite different in design. I wonder if this is the same sort of issue the team might come across while trying to finish the game. Do you stay true to the PSM build? Or do you try and change it to make it more like the final build? Seeing that Capcom actually completed a map layout before they finished rendering the area makes me wonder just how different the game was at this stage of development. It actually seems more like a surgery for the team to reconstruct the RPD from all the different material they have, especially considering they might have to consider scrapping Capcom renders at some point for a custom one that better fits their design.
What is the room on the bottom left of the B1 map? If you follow the stairwell down it just leads into this big room. :/ Morgue? The way the placed the B1 stairwell on the map is just off. Interestingly though by the fact that the team chose to finish this render makes me assume this is the map they're using. Edit: Then again I'm using fan maps as a reference... It will be interesting to learn how much else is different to what we think we know.Last edited by Guest; 02-09-2013, 10:02 PM.

This was an issue I foresaw when I initially heard of the project.
I was like, "Oh boy", and I imagined the team leader sitting at a desk throwing his hands up in the air, yelling, "WHERE THE HELL DO THESE EXTRA ROOMS GOOOOO?!!?!?!!?!"
I think they'll try to figure a way to make it more like what they believed the final build might have ended up as, most likely using a combination of the in-game resources, and the most reasonable fan-made maps.Last edited by Leonardos5; 02-09-2013, 10:11 PM."I will stay behind, to gaze at the sun. Hey guys,
I don't see any new gameplay coming our way for a while, which is sad. I want to see what else they've done since December. I'm sure they've made a shit ton of progress since October, so by now they should have at least started on the sewers.
I've completed my Universal Game Case box art for BIOHAZARD 2:
