Resident Evil 1.5 - Where would it come from, where would it go?

I feel quite depressed about that. It might have been the only "final" build floating around.

Unlikely (where there's one, there's usually others) but it is certainly rarer than the Curator version. I'm hoping, once this version is finally found, it might drum out the final version too (in a similar way to the flood RE1 beta's last year).

Problem is, if I remember correctly, Inflame's contact got it directly from a Capcom employee. So it's not something press-related that has been floating around, and it seems to have been the only known source.

I hope that the curator version won't make it more difficult to find the final build. People might act like "it's been released, who cares now", while the real deal is still somewhere. And the final build is indeed the real big deal if the curator version is really far from complete.

Who'd release would be a group of people, either a site or a forum, like THIA. And it would be disappointing, because it's a game from the 97/98, unfinished, unpolished, for the PS1 and which people put on a pedestal as the ultimate Resident Evil experience.

Nobody ever put it on a pedestal as the "ultimate resident evil experience". It's just a heavily advertised game we could hardly wait for back in 1996 and never got to play.

It's all about nostalgia and being able to play one more classic resident evil. When I was a kid, this game had been advertised for months, and I ended up playing resident evil 2, a very good game, but which wasn't what I had been waiting for. I didn't want to spend my time in an ex-museum, I wanted to visit a police station filled with fat cops and realistic environments.

And 16 years later, I still can't wait. I'll feel like a 13 years old kid all over again.

Damn I wont be disappointed in fact I am really happy that we might play the game itself.
Even though it is the curator build and it might be far from complete still I will enjoy playing it and so will you people (I think)
Remember what happened in 07 I never thought we would see 1.5 again especially not this soon.
Of course we will still look for the final version but I am sure its value will be lower as soon as curator version of 1.5 surface through at the internet.

After all curiosity we kept for ourselves (RE 1.5 fans) and the long 16 years of waiting seems like we finally be able to play the game.

Hello sorry if this seems like I'm really late to the game but could someone please help me by providing info about this 1.5 mod/release? I ran across the existence of it from a comment on youtube. I've also noticed a couple members here mention it. I've been googling the last couple hours but I'm not finding anything. Could someone please help me? I've been wanting to play this version of the game since I was 9. Not because I think its better than the one we got, though admittedly theres a couple things about it I like a bit more if my guesses are right, but like Rick said. Its all about wanting to play what you waited for the first time.

The official 1.5 build hasn't been released.
The mod based on that build hasn't been released either.
And we don't know exactly what people are working on the mod; there isn't a website for it or anything. There were some screenshot leaks on a facebook, but they have been taken down, which suggests that who ever is going to release this mod (if at all) doesn't want to attract too much attention until it's ready.
And perhaps it is better for them to stay anonymous for all the right reasons.
Everyone is just holding their breath at this point. Could be a while, might as well take your patience pill if willing to stick for a ride.

Ah alright thank you for letting me know. The way the guy who told me about it it sounded like there was already a site or something to actually see the progress. Yup I've beenpatient this long, whats more of a wait ya know?
