Ada blackmailed Simmons, by offering him the dominant strain in exchange for the erasure of her arrest warrant. Clearly the man was someone involved in the American government and the beard gave away his identity. Her comment about the appeal of a warrant was sarcasm, obviously.

That's what I took away from it but others thought differently.
I think this movie could have some real connection to RE6 if they choose to reference it. Chris himself has much more of a bone to pick with Ada than we originally thought. Now, not only did she kill his men, she has now also impersonated a member of his organization and somehow weasled herself out of an arrest warrant they placed on her. It was a mistake for her to reveal her 'real' name, though she probably used it so fans and non-fans would be on the same page regarding her identity. She should have just said she was Jill Valentine, I think even allot of non-fans would know that wasn't true. Jill's pretty well known. But I've accepted that this movie will never be referenced again so...Oh Well, Chris will probably have no idea who Ada Wong is.
I thought it was pretty awesome how some areas in the movie gave REmake/Zero vibes. The underground tunnels and the church, in particular, felt like they could've fit right in the NGC-era games.
How do you know the script was not properly translated?, did you have access to the japanese script or voice work to make the comparison?.
The movie is written by the same writer as Degeneration, Darkside Chronicles and BH6 and yet Leon's personality is completely different from any of those games, as is Ada. The only other time this happened was with BH4, which was also a piss poor localization attempt. Also, the localization was handled by "BANG ZOOM! ENTERTAINMENT". BH6 is being handled by Just Cause Productions, and they are generally more accurate to the original script not counting mistakes. I can't wait to see the exact differences once the Japanese version is released.
So I'm watching Damnation right now, not bad I am at the scene in the underground passage ways and as soon as I saw Leon one handing the flashlight I instantly thought about RE 3.5 from his movements.
Oh and also this movie shows exactly why Las Plagas and enemies like the Javo are so much better then Zombies.
The Las Plagas: Organism of War feature is set up as quite a cool video report on each of the monsters we see in the film. It is narrated by a Dr. William Gibson who is working for an unknown organisation, although it is not US Government affiliated and it is not Ada's organisation.
The only really new information is that it confirms the cultivated plaga was developed by Svetlana's scientists and one of them was killed for leaking information to Dr. Gibson to make his video report. Unfortunately it tells us nothing new about the parasite itself.
Not watched all of DNA of Damnation yet but Shotaro Suga hints that Leon and Ada have had a romantic liason sometime following the events of Resident Evil 4, which is what Ada's line about 'carrying on from where we left off that night' is based on.

Does it say anythign note worthy about the Tyrants?
Just watched the movie... so epic, Leon is forever a badass. Now thar be spoilers ahead...
Spoiler:
I'd have to say they improved from Degeneration about ten times, I really liked all of the POV shots. Of course, Leon has his fair share of corny dialog, but hell, that's the best part about him. Another thing I found noteworthy was his upgrade from the 9mm 'Grey Ghost' pistol he used in RE4/Degeneration to a much beefier .45 ACP M1911- Obviously he was given that weapon (as the rest of his gear) in haste and wasn't his choice, seeing how they pulled him from vacation, but it was still cool to see. And I wonder what his vacation was...
Now, on to the woman known as Ada Wong. Was that really Ada or was it Carla? The last scene where she said she was quite pleased with adding an international arrest warrant to her resume, I couldn't tell if that was typical Ada snark or perhaps a hint that this was Carla trying to besmirch Ada's... err... Good reputation? Also, the plagas that Ada refused to hand over, I assume it was one of the newly developed master plagas that could control the lickers, right? If that's the case, that means there are at least two floating around out there- Ada's and the other in the now wheelchair bound "Buddy".
Another thing, what was that scar about on the president's back? It royally confused me, I assumed I had missed something so I went back but couldn't find a reference to it. Anybody have any ideas on that?

Spoiler:
So you're telling me that THE SINGLE event that RE shippers the world over have been screaming for since RE2 has already happened, probably between RE4 and Damnation? (at most RE5) The single most clamored about event in the annals of shipping history has already occurred a long damn time ago? HA! The whole of the RE shipping infrastructure over on Tumblr will explode very shortly. xD So epic.
