  • [RELEASE] NPC Players [RE1 - PC]









    Rename the EMD's to either CHAR10.EMD for Chris or CHAR11.EMD for Jill and put it in the
    Code:
    ?:\Program Files\RESIDENT EVIL\usa\Enemy
    folder to play as the NPC character of your choice.
    Unfortunately I couldn't get Enrico Marini to work so I haven't included him.
    If you want to reskin the players so they have alive skins instead go ahead and upload them

    All the alive ones, made by cuel and myself are available in the Safehouse skin pack that is around.

              I'm one step closer just one thing holding me back and that's the addresses that control which model is loaded i've found the addresses which control the AI type there's a maximum of 8 enemies per room although never seen more than 7 the first enemy AI slot is overwritten when a sub character appears and the next one for the other such as Wesker, Jill hall or Wesker, Barry hall.
              If you know a room without modification where more than 7 enemies appear let me know.

                Agreed. I'm especially happy/thankful for the texture of Ben (Night of the Living Dead). I forgot to add that Enrico Marini helped with this one; he replaced Ben Bertolucci's head model with Marvin's.

                  I think i'll try it on the ps1 version instead the memory on the pc versions of re1 and re2 is funky as hell and it either crashes with certain codes or isn't acting fast enough to take effect, re2 is even worse as when you change the graphic options it also moves the memory

                      If local multiplayer could be achieved with a second controller, EPSXE could use a online client for online multiplayer...
                      I'm not sure about the PC version.

                        No what I mean is two characters constantly in a room at anytime it'll overwrite the memory addresses for the enemy slots so you don't have manually edit every single rdt I belive the correct term is a patch code.
                        Useful if your on low ammo Barry will blast it away with his colt python for you, I need to workout a formula though so it takes the co-ordinates values from the leader character and add a certain value to that so the second character only appears a short distance away from the lead character and will climb none room changing stairs.
                        Although I suppose you could joker pad two input to control the second character but that'd have to be done with some kind of debugger.
