Signature size limit

I looked at the FAQ and for the signatures it only asks a limit on visible size (400x150).


I imagine there is a file size limit also. I was gonna make an animated sig for this site but figured I would ask first. What file size is too big?

There's previously been a bit of a mixture between striking down on animated sigs and not. There aren't exactly many (if any at all now) that have animated sigs here.

The general rule we're mostly following, though, is "keep it 56k friendly" (and don't do something overly big/flashy) If the sig itself is smaller (space wise) than a so-so-ish detailed jpeg of a similar frame size...

I'd hold it until Dot50Cal gets around to this one.
