  • Resident Evil.net anniversary gifts and the "Extra" Files

Welcome back, So RE6 is a year old and to celebrate RE.net is serving up some great free gifts.

First up is 180,000 REnet points – perfect for unlocking any EX2 costumes you are still missing.

Next up is 3 extra tickets – used to unlock the blocky costumes you can enjoy “Old Skool” Leon or retro versions of your other faves.

After that is a wallpaper background featuring the RE6 cast that can be used on your desktop and/ or smartphone

For you REnet regulars you’ll be pleased to know REnet is rolling out it’s mysterious “Extra Files”

To start off, the content will be divided into two sections, the Creature Encyclopedia, and the Digital Archives.

The Creature Encyclopaedia contains descriptions and images that were originally published for Japan’s official Resident Evil fan club, CLUB96. Hopefully there are some snippets in there you didn’t know before.

The Digital Archives contain excerpts from the “Resident Evil Archives” books, including many of the characters and organizations that have appeared in the series.

The topics have been chosen from both new and classic titles, and are a great way to brush up on your RE series lore.

"There is a Resident Evil on the train."

The CLUB96 creature information was all copy-pasta from the Archives books to begin with. The only new information provided by that service was pretty much just confirmation about Jessica working for Excella Gionne.

Meh, too little too late. Was RE6 with its multi-million sales that much of a failure that Capcom refused to develop any DLC for it? The multiplayer dlc doesn't count since that just uses content/assets on the disc.

The way I see it, the game was robust enough that there never was gonna be more story/campaign DLC. Considering that Ada's campaign alone could've been DLC but they included it in the main package.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. I think many people were hoping for single-player DLC since the multiplayer DLC was quite underwhelming, but with four campaigns already in the retail game there wasn't much need for more.
            Mass production? Ridiculous!
