I'm sorry, but I find it very hard to enjoy those tracks even slightly, i've already more or less listened to three of them to death (due to them being, snap, remixes), the title screen one sounds like every other generic title screen elevator song out there.

As for your post itself, cut the "my opinion is bettar dan urz lol" attitude. It isn't winning you any awards for maturity.

If you don't have anything good to say, then don't say it all. I can guarantee a lot of people who view this forum don't like your rant, its REALLY ANNOYING.

A forum is open to opinions good and bad. If you don't like it, suck it up. You don't have to reply to it or even acknowledge it's existence.

It's concerning the amount of people that can't take a negative opinion without throwing a pathetic hissy fit over it. Atleast I back any complaints or opinions I have with worthwhile claims. Which, by the way, barely any of you have addressed and have instead merely jumped at the chance to put me down. Props to those people who could actually manage themselves and not act like a bunch of bigots.

CiarenDevlin, I agree with much of what you've said. But I guess I'm a bit more forgiving when it comes to my favorite franchise. RE-UC is getting released on the Wii to make RE fans buy the new Nintendo console. Neither Nintendo nor Capcom care that many people (like me) will never buy another Wii game. Nintendo sell another console and Capcom sell another game. I'm not happy about it either but I'm too much of a fan not to be sucked in... I don't think the Wii will have a very long life span but in the meantime, neither company cares.
I also get a bit annoyed at the constant comparisons between RE-UC and House of the Dead. I presume it's because HOTD is the only light gun game ever released on xbox (please correct me with a list of games if I'm wrong) and the people making the comparisons are xbox fans.
I've even read articles discussing the Wii 'zapper' and making out like it's some sort of fancy new innovation. Light gun games have been in the arcades for a very long time and no console has supported the light gun more than the playstation. Here's a list of light gun games in my own collection:
RE: Dead Aim / Biohazard Gun Survivor 4: Heroes Never Die
          RE: Survivor 2
RE: Gun Survivor / Biohazard Gun Survivor
          Dino Stalkers- Gun Survivor 3
          Time Crisis: Crisis Zone
          Time Crisis 3
          Time Crisis 2
          Time Crisis: Project Titan
          Time Crisis
          End Game
          Ninja Assault
          Vampire Night
          GunFighter 2
          Starsky & Hutch
          Police 911 (Police 24/7)
          Virtua Cop: Elite Edition
          Point Blank 3
          Point Blank 2
          Point Blank
          Rescue Shot
          Ghoul Panic
Die Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas
          Die Hard Trilogy
          Area 51
          Maximum Force
          Lethal Enforcers
          Judge Dredd
          Project: Horned Owl
          Elemental Gearbolt
          Crypt Killer
          The Gun Shooter
There may be a few others I don't have but as you can see it's hardly a new genre of video games.

Well, so you're saying, that comparing RE:UC to HotD makes me xbox fan, even though I haven't even saw X-box (nor played any games on it, obviously)? Well, that's a pretty funny theory.

People compare Umbrella Chronicles to House of the Dead, because the second is the most popular (if not only - I don't know) rail shooter with zombies; and a great one too. And Umbrella Chronicles is also a rail shooter with zombies. That's it. Those are two rail shooters with zombies.

As for REUC - the only thing now that's annoy me about it (apart from why the fall of Umbrella - the event fans waited to see since Leon's final line in RE2 - is shown through a low-budged rail shooter) is why you can't destroy zombies' bodies piece by piece; you could do this in the first House of the Dead 10 years ago, and it was FUN to shot off zombies' arms, blow a hole in it's chests etc, so why not now?

Yeah, that comment was probably unnecessary. I agree the comparisons are valid but I think what annoys me and the point I was trying to make, is that light gun games (on rails shooters) are an old and well established genre of games and HotD is merely ONE of those games.
Also I completely agree about being able to blow apart and decapitate zombies (as I wrote in a previous thread about this game). It's very disappointing that it dosn't look like it can be done in RE-UC.
Despite all this, I'm still looking forward to the release of the game.

It's mostly because HotD is one of the most recognised, I guess. And it's also probably the one most people have played. So, it shouldn't be that surprising, but I see your point regardless =P

House of the Dead ripped off Resident Evil (kinda). Mansion-Zombies-secret labs-corporation. the sequel takes place in a city

The reports of zombies heads not being able to be blown off is from an unfinished build of the game. And (I'm probably wrong) but the one IGN played is probably a jappanese version (which are almost always censored)

If you don't want to play UC you don't have to. I want to. Just quit trying to make other people believe what you want them to (you're all turning into christians)

Just watch the story cutscenes on youtube.

Worthwhile claims? Your opinions are not fact, and the facts about the game that have been released can barely be given opinions on. The game takes place in places seen before, thats a fact, but that doesn't prove that the game is automatically shitty. The game isn't even out and you think its shit. You are the one throwing the hissy fit, after all you posted a comment, others argued against it because they are standing for what they believe in, and you called people names before anyone called you anything. I'm not calling you names, i'm simply expressing my views on your rant.

                        In short: It fails. Hard.

I really hope this gets ported or something. I'm not shelling out on a Wii for this one piece of shit. Story details or not.
So you hope for a game which you describe as "complete bullshit" to be ported to elsewhere so you can play it on a non-Wii console?

I agree but sometimes it's great to play a favourite series together you know? A co-op Resident Evil has long been expected and while Outbreak was there (however briefly it feels) the truly missed opportunity RE0 was denied. Granted UC isn't RE in the traditional sense but it's a start.

I never insinuated that they were.

I never said that the fact that the areas in the game are 90% taken straight from everything else was what made it "automatically shitty". There are many more.

Why not? Seeing as it's an "essential piece of canon material".

Well, if you see it as such as an essential part of canon material, why don't you just watch the new cutscenes from the game on youtube when the game comes out? And to go back on one of your previous statements, they didn't purposely get horrible voice actors, its your opinion. Afterall RE is not known for the best voicework but people still love it.

I agree with you that this game has some canon material (Never-Before seen members of Umbrella, the attack on the stronghold in Russia) but just like Resident Evil 4, the creators are trying something new, instead of making it just like the old resident evils. I am a huge fan, but I would be dissapointed if the difficult camera angles and the kill-a-zombie-kill-another-zombie gameplay would still exist for another 5 or 10 years. Resident Evil has been trying to reinvent itself by using Wii's motion sensitive controllers to try a new style of gameplay. Who knows, it could be the best thing ever, or be a complete flop. If this is even very successful (RE 4 good) it could be transported, but i can't see that happening because the whole point of this game is to use these new wii-controls. ( just like RE 4 on the Wii, same story, new controls)
