Some of you are forgetting the RE3 epilogue. It shows Barry is clearly alive.

Can't wait to get the game. I'll likely be doing cut scene videos from the entire game on release, similar to what I did with RE4 when it hit, but probably for forum members only ;D.

I'll be on this site everyday upon the release of UC.

Is anyone else hoping for a secret RE2 scenario or something of the sort? It seems like the events of RE2 have to be mentioned at least with Ada being in it and even Hunk, right? There's still 2 more trailers to be released before the game comes out. With Sherry in RE5, I'm still wondering why RE2 would be left out.

I've gotta wonder...how are they gonna handle Wesker's Powers? The guy is super fast and strong, after all, and far tougher than a normal being. If it takes the exact number of zombie bites to chomp him down as it does Chris it'll just be wrong. And he should just be able to blast through the levels. Alright, I can see if his powers haven't kicked in entirely while he's still in the Mansion, but must have at least super speed. About 15 minutes after he gets up again the place goes nuclear.

Also, Barry must be alive. Gaiden says so. Of course, it may be a far better plan to simply ignore Gaiden as much as possible, but I assume the game is still cannon. I wish it wasn't, though.

Actually, the game is not canon at all. Disregard that poopy game. But yea, Barry is alive according to that RE3 epilogue. Wesker seems fast in his counterattack against that chimera and he didn't take any damage when he got hit by Lisa's attack.

Wesker's health bar can be seen depleted in the scene where he's fighting the tyrant on the train lift. I assume this is before the events of RE1 where he injects himself with the "plot device" virus.

I noticed the Japanese version of the trailer has some slightly different footage too.

Cool!!! I like the new trailer.
Update on the Australian situation: the game is due on Dec 13, for $99.95 (I think this is for just the game without the zapper, unfortunately). The zapper is also due for release on that date but I think it only comes bundled with a Zelda mini game called Links Crossbow Training for $49.95. The Wii itself currently costs $399. So... for RE-UC, the zapper and a Wii, I'm looking at $550! Oh well, what's an RE fan to do?
The game runs at 480p and supports widescreen so it should look pretty good on my new lcd.
Also, I found this write up of the game which now makes me think I may not even use the zapper.
I've had two prior hands-on sessions with Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, the Wii shooter. The first time, at a Capcom event, I loved using the Wiimote to aim precisely and pop the heads off zombies. The second time, at E3, I hated using the Wii Zapper light gun attachment, because it was so much more tiring and imprecise.

This time, I played the two-person cooperative mode with freelancer Emily, and I took the nunchuk right out of the Wii Zapper and played with just the Wiimote. As we went through the new level (based on the train from Resident Evil 0), there it was: that feeling I'd had the first time through. Such precise aim I had, with little tiny movements of my wrist! As if the signals from my brain were being automatically transmitted into the Wii. Tiny flicks of my hand and zombies fell one by one, and so did a bunch of disgusting leeches that stuck to the screen and attempted to eat our blood.

Emily, meanwhile, was really eager to try out the Wii Zapper. So that's how she started playing the level. Halfway through, I asked her if she wanted to switch. She reluctantly agreed. I picked up the Zapper and found it just as ungainly as I did at E3. Reloading my gun by shaking the Wiimote offscreen changed from a barely-perceptible hand movement to a wild flailing of this massive piece of plastic. To say nothing of pressing the A button to pick up objects, which now required an awkward reach across the top of the Zapper.

I turned to Emily and asked, "What control method do you like better?"

"Just the Wiimote," she said, quietly.

"Oh? And why is that?" I asked.

"Because it's so much easier to aim, you just have to move your wrist a tiny bit," she said.

WHAM! I felt so utterly vindicated that I would have taken a victory lap right then and there had there been room to move around. Sorry, Capcom; sorry, Reggie: the Wii Zapper might be a great toy for casual players and a great marketing hook for Umbrella Chronicles, but it makes the game less fun to play. I'm really looking forward to Umbrella -- the cooperative mode was lots of fun -- but I'll be playing it Zapperless when it launches on November 13.

Lets just hope they explain what happened to Sherry, one of the biggest plot holes of the series.
I am glad your opinion of the game changed, and as for mine, everytime they show a new trailer I want to play the game more and more! I'm going crazy!
I hope a little about Sherry gets explained too, but I doubt it because that's what Resident Evil 5 is going to be about.

I don't have money to buy a Wii at the moment, so that would be awsome
