the whole Wesker/Chris thing is because every plan Wesker has Chris just happens to get in the way, like the REmake where Chris kills the Tyrant, and Code Veronica where Wesker ends up stealing Steve´s body to get the T-Veronica because Chris had blown Alexia to bits, but in UC it looks like Wesker gets lucky and escapes with the red queen data, so let´s see what happens next on RE 5

That quote may be foreshadowing Bio5, but I believe it could also be foreshadowing future BioHazard titles aswell.

If there ever is a final BioHazard video game, I would bet anything I own that Albert Wesker and Chris Redfield will have their final showdown.

Not in this trailer, no. But apparently in the game, during the boss fight with Sergei, Sergei mentions that Umbrella made 10 clones of him, and it is those clones that became the Tyrants we all know and love. At least, that's what it says in the Players Guide, anyway.

Not only that, because ever since 2000 with CV, thats been the typical ending scenario put forth by fans, to end the series overall, "Wesker vs. Chris".... ...and after 7 seven years of hearing it, I hope it doesn't end that way, just too predictable, after all the crap Capcom has given us in recent years, please no!! ...I, for one, would be happy to see one or the other get knocked off before the series end, to have a different outcome, something out of the blue...and we all know they're not going to put Wesker six feet under...so, Mr. Redfield, looking forward to your demise...

Have nothing against Chris, but just don't give us the "expected" when the time comes. Surprise us, be somewhat creative...

i have a feeling the series finale will have some sort of heroic sacrifice or a final duel in a collapsing place where the player is just left hints at the end that someone survived. (i'd like it to be like the frog vs magus ending in chrono trigger, where you knew one of them died, you just didn't know which one because the game won't tell you).

...exactly what I wanted to hear, you couldn't have said better any other way. Just a personal opinion though, CAPCOM is just too damn predictable. If by chance one or the other meets a demise before the series' end, then it would be a major "kudos" for CAPCOM for finally breaking their predictability. We can only hope it doesn't end in an obvious manner.

Very interesting. I've always wondered how CAPCOM would explain the multiple Tyrants' identities. Again though, this creates another god-forsaken plothole. To the best of my knowledge, Sergei is caucasian. Thanatos-R is african-american. WTF?

Is Thanatos-R not a Tyrant? Or can Umbrella magically change one's skin color now?
