Gamespot interviews RE4's Producer, Masachika Kawata

Gamespot has uploaded a new video in which they interview Resident Evil 4 Producer Masachika Kawata.

Ive transcribed some of the more important information revealed below.

• The port is amazing considering how much trouble they had with getting the game up to the gamecube's level up til summer.



• In the begining of making the port they were considering adding an online mode but when they saw the amount of time they had to complete the port, they decided to focus on making the port as good as possible (graphics wise).



• The work on RE5 and ahead is very difficult because they have to balance efficency with the amount of quality that next gen games demand.



• Everyone on the team was pessimistic about meeting the goals (graphics wise) on the PS2, but at the same time as saying this they worked very hard and Kawata is extremely proud of them.



• He also confirms the release date Oct 25th for North America Dec 12st for Japan. So I guess that squashes the rumor of an early release.
