This seems extremely pointless considering the original wasn't 14:9 or 480p. Furthermore, the original is already playable on the Wii >_>

great news!!! (to me at least!), as i completely abhor the GameCube control pad, and I refused to buy it, I bought RE:4 for GC and I left it unfinished cos I hated the controls (And bought the PS2 one). I've always wanted to play 0, Rebecca is my fave character from the series, and now I'll be able to!Last edited by delage; 02-27-2008, 07:26 AM.

Nemesis, I'd be interested to see if they re-do the background for 16:9 televisions. Hopefully they would, but I don't see how.

Wow, just...fucking wow.
And people still insist to ask me why I utterly loathe BioHazard in the post-2002 years.Last edited by MeganGrass; 02-27-2008, 10:14 AM.I'm a blackstar.

I still don't see why people make such a fuzz about this (in a negative way, that is).
I guess people just weren't around in the 90s when Resident Evil 1 was re-released left'n right with even 3 different versions on one single platform (over a period of 2 years, I may add), Resident Evil 2 starting a porting spree as if it had some sort of hidden agenda tied in with world domination and the name of a man no one had ever heard about was then used as part of the marketing campaign for a title that was released at the same time as Resident Evil 3.
Seriously, is it THAT BAD that Capcom announces a re-release of a game on a new platform nearly 6 years after its initial release?
These are good news and the game now may have a chance to reach out to a new and richer audience.Last edited by Carnivol; 02-27-2008, 10:38 AM.

And yes, Capcom is a well known company from their re-releases... How many versions of Street Fighter II there were?
BTW. Until you've said it, I didn't realize it's been 6 years ago since RE0 was made, and the game still looks (technically-wise) great.Last edited by Mr_Zombie; 02-27-2008, 10:42 AM.

You're required to a GC controller for that. So already the "$15 only" price some people seem to swear that RE0 sells for in every single game store on the planet is kinda defeated by the fact that you also need a controller that costs $25 in order to play it.
Besides, not everyone likes going on treasure hunts in the bargain bin, second hand shelf or "on the way out" shelf when they're looking for a new game for their new next gen system. (Though, of course some people do love to hoard in some of that back catalog fun)
Anyway, I'm mostly interested to see if they'll add some new features (though, highly unlikely it will be anything big... but imagine sweet dreams of co-op, entirely new controller scheme, arrange modes, WiFi, NDS connectivity...whatever your sick twisted consumer-zombie imagination makes you think of)

Reading this i was shocked
but i see this as good news because it should and would be diffrent im sure. I hope to have a mini game in it, such as a survival level where you have to kill loads of leeches and zombies etc
Also i'm guessing it'll be out near the release or after when r.e 5 is out. so there be two nice games for us to play
i must admit playing u.c on the wii, has got me wanting to play 0 again but i may just wait for this wiii version, true we can just play the g.c version but it doesn't hurt to upgrade every now and then

The RE0 we had was the only one we could find, and we found it by accident (Like most of our RE games, ironically), and I can't be bothered to order it again, unless it turns up, so I'm buying this.
I find it strange we found RE:CVX, RE:0, and RE3 when we weren't even looking for the three. (Of course, these were when they were out for a while, and no, not all three at the same time.)
