Well, short answer: There aren't any.

But as some might know, Lost Planet holds a special little place in the heart of some of the staff and regulars here at THIA. It was the test game for our capturing equipment, it was a battleground where we all could gather and it was also where we practiced various human experiments (No worries, they were psychological and not biological).

Anyway, seems like there's finally some info on a little mystery known as Lost Planet Colonies.

Apparently, Lost Planet Colonies will be out on the 29th of May (At least in Japan).

And as far as we know for now, this game seems to be a re-release of the original game, but with plenty of added content and features. Unfortunately, at the time of writing this, we're not entirely sure what the new features are, but it seems like the list of stuff seems to includes:

-New game modes (Some AK related modes)
-New multiplayer character model/skins (Female skins?)
    -New maps (4 in total)
    -New Weapons (10 new)
    -Cross platform multiplayer (PC/360)

We'll evt. update this post later if there more info pops up.

Where's our Dead Rising re-release, Capcom? (We have urges!)

    Thanks goes to:
Kotaku, for bringing this to our attention while we were enjoying our morning drinks,
Björn for taking 2 seconds to look at the scan someone put up and tossing out a few quick pointers for me even though he was busy with other things.

Source is apparently the latest Famitsu.

This sounds nice, but I'm kind meh on it until I know what new stuff is being added. Though the fact there is cross platform play is very enticing. I could whip you guys asses even more with mouse controls. I just hope they don't gimp it like they did with Shadowrun.

I second the need for a Dead Rising release though. PC at least FFS. The damn engine would be fantastic on it (as Lost Planet PC shows).

Sounds fantastic. I assume some of the new stuff is just ported from the PS3 version, as it had playable missions as the female from the game (can't remember her name) and some other small things. And John, dem sounds like fightin' words. I'll see you in the ring boy!

Yeah, suppose the PS3 stuff will be there, but the multiplayer female character shown in the scan looks more like a female version of the basic anonymous male w/coat character.

It's good to see that Capcom are supporting there only online game. I was dissapointed with Outbreak, more so how it was handled within Europe, with the first game having Online stripped from it, and the second game having the servers shut after only a year and a half or so.

I don't see why Capcom added cross-platform play though, to be honest. Although this is a better fit than Shadowrun or any other FPS, I still feel it's kind of needless. Are people even playing Lost Planet on the PC?

In the "defense" of Outbreak PAL, we at least got some added tweaks that some may have liked. But really, it was a loss that they axed the online portion of it and that the game has yet to be revived on a slightly more online friendly and ready platform. +Scenarios/Characters/Objects could make excellent DLC.

Well, I like the idea of cross platform (though, I'm more interested in "connectivity", really... Such as Wii + NDS and GC + GBA), but what I do not like is the train of thought you often find PC users on. How they're often so hilariously competitive. Complaining about controls and praising the KB+MOUSE combo.

            Let me just say this:
KB+MOUSE sucks, it's one more step away from creating a proper "feeling" between the user and game. +Every game "plays" the same (Which makes it a double slap for PC games, where a majority of "big" titles share engines with little to no real mention worthy tweaks added).

The HUD crosshair is something that shouldn't even be in a mouse controlled game, thanks to how "fast and accurate" things are. Learn to play!

Capcom couldn't care less for that, they could have imported their server runners in Europe and USA, but they chose to go by SEGA who cut us off.

All I wanna know is...why? Why did they cut online from the first? I would love to play Below Freezing Point & Decisions Decisions online, but nooo, Capcom just didn't care, oh well...Outbreak was my favourite game, but I haven't touched it since the servers went down...

              Back on topic:
As much as I loved Lost Planet...It could get boring very easily.
Though, I did download that online demo of Lost Planet for the PS3, I'm impressed, it was awesomely FUN!
But the fact that this re-release, just doesn't interest me...

Also, on the Dead Rising matter, I never play it because the amount of save points if baffeling...If thats a word...
The difficulty was annoying, but thats just me.
