A quick flick around the net surfaced this little gem - a US release of the mobile phone game "Resident Evil Genesis", an "all new zombie-hunting adventure" is currently out and about taking players back to where it all started, that wondrous mansion in the Arkley Mountains. Just now it's all isometric and blocky looking.
Certainly something for the hardcore Resi fans out there, or those who fancy some Resi on the go, when their DS is on charge presumably.

...Resident Evil: Genesis is an all new zombie-hunting adventure that returns the player to the frightening events that introduced the world to the Umbrella Corporation. It begins in a crumbling mansion overrun with zombies and other horrific preternatural mutations (not as horrific as the phrase “horrific preternatural mutations,” however). As one of the last remaining survivors of the elite S.T.A.R.S. police unit, the player must unravel devious puzzles and survive the deadly creatures armed only with their wits and whatever weapons they can find.

Even people that don’t have their rents paid by this game think it’s pretty sweet. Resident Evil: Genesis scored an “A” on 1UP.com and a 7.8/10 on IGN. The wireless debut for the iconic survival horror series is currently available on most major North American carriers.
