yeah show some originality: stop saying "RE5 is RE4 in Africa" ... I mean the whole world already knows that and far as i know nobody in here is blind...

The point is that Takeuchi said the new trailer would prove the game is MORE than RE4 in Africa. And it hasn't.

Maybe this lantern thing is important part of gameplay at some poing. Maybe to scare away some monsters from the character in this catacombes that is impossible to do with just a flashlight( like in Pitchblack) or the flashlight was just broken by someone in one of the cut scenes, Who knows.

Which is why he'd gladly pick that lantern up and use it when he finds it.

Ever used a videogame flashlight? They're horrible! They light up for like 15 seconds, then they go dark while they're charging themselves up again for another 15 sec of light.


Now... if Capcom's Resident Evil 5 staff would just go see Rambo 4 ;D

really guys?

you know i have noticed many complaints about resident evil 4 and im hearing many about 5 but you know as long as the plot progress's and the game is fun im happy, and so should any real fan. I mean it looks like 4 obviously ties into 5 in some way yet in others it is different, and 4 ties into the rest of the series with the inclusion of the ada/wesker subplot. Then again times change mistakes are made and somethings accidently contradict others. Even megaman and sonic games have plot inconsistances yet if in the end at least some of everygame ties together or is declared noncanon and it was a good time then who are we to complain. After all the videogame industry owes us nothing and could stop making a series on a whim, also the games not even out yet so just give it a chance.
