Has anyone here ever seen the movie "The Faculty"?

In the last photo, the parasite(?) is exposed and is coming out of the ganado's mouth... looks like a direct rip-off of the movie...

    Nonetheless, pretty awesome, IMHO.
    I'm a blackstar.

I did get reminded of The Faculty when I first saw the parasites, as well as the lovely Famke Janssen who starred in that movie (and I was a huge fan of her character in Nip/Tuck too, as I see is your avatar Mark).

Still, really liking the look of RE 5 and the progress they're making. =)

Dot, great work on this. I've been in work all day so it would've been a nightmare to catch up on everything that's been revealed.

        Sincerley, thank you

Yes but will it explain what happened to the other STARS, Claire, and Leon? Even Degeneration, which seems to have Claire and Leon as the main two, is only set a year after re4.

And you're right...the progenitor virus was not mentioned in CV. However, the first three viruses to be experimented with were progenitor (Marcus), T-Veronica/Alexia (Ashfords), and the T (everyone else in Umbrella). I think its safe to say that all the viruses came from the same source, or at least close enough. Regardless of what they are using in 5, I do miss the zombies.

The green herbs are back though. Long live the herbs.

The interview is quite interesting, I wonder if other sites interviewed him as well?.

PC being lead platform is very encouraging And I guess it lays any rest to doubt that the game will be coming to PC eventually.
I'm very excited that they mention the PC. Here's hoping that they will eventually release a PC version too. I've never bought I console, and I don't plan to buy one.

It's a fact that all the new games by Capcom that use the MT Framework engine are designed on the PC and they are later ported on PS3 & Xbox 360. You can read more about this here: http://gamasutra.pair.com/php-bin/ne...hp?story=16611 and here: http://kotaku.com/gaming/capcom/easy...360-332791.php

Question. Why was Code Veronica mentioned specifically? They could have easily reference Resident Evil 0 where there was Projenitor Virus references all over the place. Aside from having Chris and the Mother Virus, what else could these two games have in common?

Could there be something tying in the two games? Perhaps there was something to JILLrealm's post showcasing the similarities between the Wesker's CVX battlemode ending background and a screen shot of the mouth of a cave...

It will solve the mystery of the Progenitor virus that's plagued the series thus far.
                        About fucking time.

Now all they need to do is introduce Spencer and give him closure and they can call the old plot points all closed.

And the CV references are pretty much bullshit. I hate it when journalists start talking about shit they have absolutely no idea about. =(

Spencer better not be in some young form or whatever bullshit they wanted to do with Marcus. He's damn near 90 at this point...

http://www.gamespot.com/video/929197...apcom08_videos Interesting video interview with Takeuchi. He explicitly mentions CODE: Veronica as well as answering questions regarding the Redfields.

Also, Destructoid confirmed with Takeuchi that the environments are fully destructible in real time. Gamespy's preview mentions that the heat element has been axed.

I'd rather run from cover to cover, then from shadow to shadow <_<
