Also, Destructoid confirmed with Takeuchi that the environments are fully destructible in real time. Gamespy's preview mentions that the heat element has been axed.
Wow did you hear "We'll show you some place different from Africa (at E3)." Holy shit. Maybe it WILL have some connection to Antarctica from CV:X???

Well, to be fair, CV/X showed three locations:

      • France - Umbrella Paris Facility
      • South America - Rockfort Island
      • Antarctic Facility

I'm a little sketchy about the first one since it's been a good while since I've done much research on the intro to CV.

Edit - I think it's quite clear a majority of us think BSAA stands for Barry's Super Awesome Army

        Just a little ribbing ;)

I'll craft a new news post with some updated info since I slept, along with the trailer downloads.

Clearly. But I think they are tying it to Code: Veronica so much because it was the last major title we saw Chris in. Maybe Claire is set to make an appearance as well?

Maybe BSAA means "Bio-hazard Suppression Association of America"? Since Dot pointed out the North America part.

If it has North America above it's, it's more likely to be a division/squad from NA of a worldwide organization.

I concur with Omega's comments... I don't see why Code Veronica is the only game getting mentioned here. Clearly Zero has a number of links to the background, plot, and location of five... one hopes they're not forgetting/ignoring this either.

Check the Gamespot video interview for clarification on why CV was mentioned.

now it seems prety good but why there is no dodging if they show it on the trailers????

He explicitly states that there is no dodge mechanic. Hes likely saying that its just the same "context sensitive" movements that pop up on the screen to dodge incoming enemies rather than a full-on dodge button.

I think I really only used the dodge feature in Resident Evil 3 :

Oh well. You know you would they'd implement a quick back step feature since that's what normally is done to avoid getting attacked (as seen in Outbreak with certain characters) in the main games...

Alyssa's dodge was useful for sure. Cindy aside, the special abilities of the characters weren't exactly overpowering so things balanced out nicely. Not to mention that it was more user friendly than RE3 frame sensitive dodge.

The special items in File 2 were cleverly implemented. Like the charm Yoko had, which essentially made you invulnerable to instant death moves by either Hunters or Tyrants. What I liked about the Outbreak games were the small attention to details like that.

Here is what I think so far:
                          1. Takeuchi mensioned that most part of the game will be in Africa but what about the least? I think it will be the part of the game when we can play in Chris flashbacks. Ofcourse flashbacks are not even confirmed but it sound true to me.
                          2. Speaking about RE:CV, exept from the progenitor virus it olso have the Steve and ofcourse Wescer part. The developers promise to reveale all of the RE secrets in this game, so I think the Steve's destiny is one of them.
                          3. And the story about Wescer's hobby of virus collecting. It is obvious that he will be in this game, so it will be logic to wait that T,G,T-Veronica viruses will be atleast mentioned in this game.

Sounds like your applying MGS4 logic to RE5 to me (the flashbacks)

No I haven't even thought about MGS this time (But you know it is very hard for me not to think about it). It's just there was an information about RE5 to have playable flashbacks that will guide us into Chris Redfields mistirious past. Besides In MGS4 flashbacks are not playable.
