They already confirmed that its NOT the Las Plagas parasite. Why is everybody so gung ho on the Las Plagas idea? It could be several things and
I believe it has something to do with the T-Veronica virus as said in an interview or something.
Not publicly. An announcement at E3 would make sense, I'm just not sure if it'll happen yet which is why I didn't explicitly state it would be shown there.

...well, mostly because it acts alot like Las Plagas and the day I see a virus the size of my fist being rammed down someone's throat is the day I'm running the hell away. If it looks like a dog and barks like a dog shoot it because it's probably a cerberus. In this case, however, it's a parasite that's infected the villagers. It's not Las Plagas itself, dueto its lack of fear when it comes to light, but it could be a mutated form of it or it could be the Nemesis parasite since we know very little about it. Although I don't recall Nemesis jaw unhinging and tenticles popping out it's head it's quite likely the Nemesis parasite will use it's host body in the best way it can...in the case of Nemesis that meant tenticles.

didn't I just say that it was CONFIRMED! NOT to be a parasite. WOW lol.
No, you said it was confirmed not to be Las Plagas. Not that it was confirmed to not be a parasite at all. Would you mind linking me to the little tidbit of info please? I seem to have missed it, so I'm simply going on the trailer and the large, parasite-like lump that gets forced down someone's throat.
Hmm if I recall, I had said, "that I believed they want to use the parasite and virus together, thus the reason Wesker wanted the Las Plagas sample." Though not being a sequel to RE4, it is a sequel in the RE series all together, My Speculation was that the T-Virus and las plagas would definitly be involved, maybe im wrong but it seems to be the case, creating giant like Plagas's which seem very close but in respects totally different.
