I still have the horrible sensation in my stomach that Wesker's a false lead. After all, he does appear in RE4 as well. My suspicion is he'll be involved in something like Seperate Ways or he'll be there to gather samples and not, therefore, terribly important.
That was something I knew would happen once the game series went to the next gen era: Developers all want to go with that "games that appeal to everyone, not just fans" bandwagon.

The RE series was known for zombies and the puzzles. The first few games had very limited sex appeal and the weapons were kept to a decent number.

As for Wesker's fate...they keep mentioning tying up loose ends that have existed since the start of the series (which is why using Chris was a must) and yet at the same time, we haven't seen any connection story wise linking them. I doubt we'll get an opening that really explains what has happened in the past ten years....and I really wonder what they will explain during the game since they also seem to want to focus on Sheva's backstory now as well. And with all these new villains...

*sigh* Hopefully Comic-con and the Tokyo Game Show will hold some info. Of course....TGS isn't until October...so maybe we'll get a bit more info before that as well.

Wesker was pretty much the main character in RE UC so I really expect him to be in this game the only question is how? I really doubt we will see his demise because he is really popular and know they want to drag the series out for as long as people buy it.
