New Dark Biohazard Trailer

Thanks to c2keo for informing us that a new trailer for Dominion's Dark Biohazard mod has been released.

With Dominions skills, he has managed to combine data from Biohazard 2 and 3, increasing the potential of the mod. As you can see from the trailer, there are returning areas from Biohazard 2/3 and a host of new areas to explore. c2keo also points out that there will be 2 Raccoon Police Departments in the game with one being the old one we know from Biohazard 2/3 and a new one that seems to be inspired by Biohazard 1.5's police station design. Also to note is the massive amount of zombies the players will be up against at a time.

There is no release date for the mod at this point, but it is definitely something to be looking forward to.

Again, thanks to c2keo for the information. And thanks to Dominion and c2keo for their hard work to eventually bring us this potentially great game.

Wow - that looks great. Is this going to be a downloadable game, or do I need an RE2 PC disc? It really appears as if this game will be a return-to-form RE experience.

Does anyone know the background on this game, i.e. the story? Is it supposed to take place before the nuke touchdown in RC? Because some of the "Outbreak" characters were corpses on the bus...

And please dear God, tell me that the main character is NOT Leon...I absolutely hate Leon. I'm sick of seeing him.

The main character is Leon. Elza did appear as a character in one of Dominions old mods, Last Human Front, but the other main character was Barry. I'm pretty sure it's been said a few times that they're not doing 1.5...but since we now know they'll be a second RPD building it's certainly possible we'll be getting 1.5 elements.

All we know about the story is that it's set in a universe where the S.T.A.R.S team were killed in the Arklay Mountains, so Claire isn't in Raccoon City. If there is a second main character it won't be her. In the first video they show zombie Jill, which was creepy.

I think the thing that impresses me most so far is it's several games in one. We know there are gonna be elements from two and three, since they've managed to use the elements from three, as well as all the brand new areas and the old areas being modified, such as the burning and damaged RPD.

Well, Enrico managed to get something like 30 zombies in a single area, but they had to be the same kind of zombie. So it could be worse.

Remeber, though, these are fans making it. They might make a Leon who isn't hopelessly naieve or super badass. Although he does seem a little on the dark, emo side from the clips so far...

The story seems to be an alternate universe Biohazard story. I don't think it's being made as a supporting game that takes place in the official Biohazard universe. So I'd imagine there's going to be quite a bit that may contradict or go against some things we know from the official games.

I don't know if we'll see Elza as a character, only Dominion and his team know right now. But the game isn't being designed around BH1.5 in particular and the 2nd RPD, from what I understand from talking to c2keo, is only inspired and has design elements similar to the one in 1.5 (basically saying you won't see a remake of the 1.5 RPD).

All in all it should be a good mod and I imagine it will be very welcomed to many of us who've been aching for an old-school type Biohazard game.

Since this mod uses both Resident Evil 2 and 3 data, do you need both games to install it? Or is it just a modification for 3?

As I understand it they're using two exclusively, and have translated the sections of three to work with two.
