Good question. I completely forgot. In the last shots he's reclined in a chair, with a newspaper covering his face. The hand hanging down the side of the chair is black, like a zombies. I think he shoots up and then the camera cuts. I think it's mostly for poetic justice that he dies. Because he is an asshole.

I'm interested to find out if Degeneration is generally better than the RE films. I'll probably have to wait forever to find out... I really hate New Zealand.

I found this episode really interesting. Code Veronica X was actually the first game I played, but I loved it. I do agree that it wasn't great and I agree with you on why, but it still is one of my favourite games ever. ^^;

Is Downing killed also? maybe he has dealings with Wesker doesn't Wesker already have Type-B progenitor virus strain gained from Lisa's body? the only thing Wesker could gain in going to the Tricell base is stopping the T virus vaccine data from being found made earlier by Wilpharm unless they've secretly been developing there own viruses or are an older company than Wilpharm that are looking into gathering virus data from over companies nullifying any over competition "Wasn't Umbrella and Wesker developing a T virus vaccine in Resident Evil: Extinction film?, If he can get the vaccine he could easy kill the Alice clone army". Can Tricell be presumed to have G virus too from Umbrella stocks bought by Wilpharm?

Downing isn't killed. He's arrested. There's no evidence to suggest that Wesker is his contact as opposed to anyone else. Wesker and Umbrella in RE:Extinction isn't canon. Or it's at least a separate canon to this film. But there were at least 2 efforts by Umbrella to make a T-virus vaccine. In the Raccoon Hospital (where Carlos synthesises the vaccine for Jill), and @ Raccoon University (Outbreak file 1, Decisions Decisions scenario). In Wesker's report I Wesker says he recovered G-virus from Birkin's corpse. So I guess that it's possible to recover G from the monster in Degeneration, and that Tricell would take that onboard as they take over Wilpharm.

I had trouble downloading the show earlier today. I managed to download it, and I'm listening back through it. I'm about 1:20 of the way through. I'm at work now, so I can't listen to it here. I'll listen later, and then hopefully remember by train of thought while I was interrupted, and then give you the answer. For now I can say this

They seem to have some connection because of Raccoon city, but that's it. It doesn't seem like they've spoken or interacted much since RE2. I guess maybe only Leon relaying that email to Chris? At the end scene where they part ways, Leon seems more interested in Angela. He doesn't try any lines on Claire.

Wow, hearing an in-depth summary of Degeneration makes me so much more excited to see this movie now. My expectations by that alone have been far exceeded already. This is going to be awesome. Thank you so much for that Gene! ♥

Also man, the CV nostalgia. I still remember having a sleepover at a friends house in which I randomly decided to take a try at Wesker's knife mode in first person mode. And BEAT IT, it is still one of my more geekier moments in my video game life, I am still proud of that (especially considering it was ... man, years ago).
