  • Biohazard 5 SKU's Detailed

Famitsu have detailed the different Biohazard 5 SKU's that Japan will be getting, here's the low down.

    - Limited Edition (PS3 version) : This is the SKU that the E-Capcom website has up for pre order.

    - Limited Edition (360 version) : Same as above.

    - Deluxe Edition (360 only) : This version will include the Biohazard 5 soundtrack CD and come in a Metallic case, this is the same version of the game that ships with the LE's (i-e Metallic case).

    - Biohazard 5 (Plain) - This is the regular SKU which will replace the Deluxe editions when the stock finishes.

    - The PS3 version of the Biohazard 5 Blu Ray will come with a Making-Of video on it by default. No such information on the 360 version.

The Limited Edition releases are both 12,000 yen, while the deluxe and plain releases are 8800 yen.

Biohazard 5 SKU's Detailed thanks to CVXFreak over at Neogaf.

Guess the Making of video will be on the marketplace for the 360.
Would assume that packaging is the problem with the PS3 and a metallic deluxe edition.
I would assume that having to do one of the two following would cost too much extra:
A: Do a custom order for non-standard PS3-styled metal case (DMC4 had these, though. Right?)
B: Do an extra package to wrap around the entire package
(While the 360 just requires a market standard cheap "Steel Box" with a standard dual-disc inlay. A packaging type Microsoft certainly aren't unfamiliar on the 360 front. And yes, I know the PS3 DMC4 had a metal box too)

Of course, it could just be a move on their own initiative to try to boost 360 sales in Japan. As it seems like it is in the best interest of most Japanese game companies these days to boost the sales of their 360 software in their own region too, so they wont have to depend too much on localization profit and planning when making a title for the platform.

360 will have the deluxe edition while PS3 not, but the PSE version has a making of inside the B-ray by default while 360 doens't have a Making of in no way (L.E., D.E. and obviosly the standard edition)...
and also, since PS3 has a making of video by defalut, this means also the L.E. for PS3 has the same inside the B-ray, right? So... the limited edition for PS3 is better than the L.E. for 360?!?!?!.

          Conclusions:
Standard Edition and L.E. for PS3 is better than the 360 ones
and a misterious 360 Deluxe Edition arrived from a misterious far away galaxy thanks Microsoft money
Capcom is doing a real mess in Japan and I have a splitting headache

Are you sure that the PS3 LE comes with the blu ray by default?, I know it's pure logic that the blu ray should come but Famitsu didn't show it as part of the LE.

Man I can't understand your point, what are you trying to say?

If the "making of" comes inside the same B-ray disc of the game of the PS3 standard edition, check here, so I think abviously also the L.E. will get the same "Making of" inside the B-ray game.

Earlier demo and time limited deluxe edition... someone is playing their cards right to get another sales surge.

Regardless, content-wise, I'm betting that the video and OST will be on the marketplace and PSN respectively.

So, they haven't sead anything about the RESIDENT EVIL editions, they are ONLLY talking about the BIOHAZARD editions, aren't they? so I should wait 'till the RESIDENT EVIL editions are anounced for preorder. If I buy a BIOHAZARD edition it wouln't work in my (NTSC) 360 consol?

                      From your link:

While not specifically mentioned by Capcom, it's presumable that the PS3 Limited Edition version's disc will include the special making-of video footage.

That's the reason of my question.

I didn't know till now that the "making of" is in the same disc, I was expecting a second disc outside the game box like many companies do with this kind of material, thanks for the info.

yes it is.I'll never turn to X-box.
Besides,in Japan the X-Box Version of RE5 isn't gonna sell
well as the PS3 is Japn town.
