RPD Dispatch Episode #8 - Delayed

Unfortunately, due to some mis-communications on what time we would be recording, we won't be able to get a podcast out to you this week at its scheduled time. We'll have to delay the podcast until December 28th, the next time when everyone is available to record.

While it saddens me we had to do this, it does have a silver lining. On December 18th, a PS3 demo of Biohazard 5 will be available, so we'll hopefully be able to discuss that a bit. Also, Krispy from Project Umbrella will be attending a Capcom event, where he will be playing new areas of Resident Evil 5. So we'll have him on in a special segment to discuss that.

So, again, I offer my apologies to everyone who was looking forward to the podcast. This is the first time something like this has happened with us, and hopefully the last. We'll try to do some extra special stuff for this upcoming after-Christmas episode.

Glad to hear that the demo for PS3 will be out on the 18th. I think the delay is actually a good thing since it will give people that didn't have the chance to play the 360 version to give it a try and voice their opinions.

I seriously doubt there will be a PSN demo this month, only the demo disc. Next week we will find out for sure whats gonna happen.

On one hand it would have been nice to hear about your RE5 demo impressions. But on the other hand, as Rosseta Mist said, it's best to have first our own RE5 demo impressions (for those who only have PS3).

I enjoy the podcasts and I'm sure you put a lot of effort in them, so those who follows like me, are able to understand that a delay is far more than reasonable.

What we need to clarify for certain is when a PS3 demo will be available? who said it will be on December 18th? is it through a Demo Disc or is it through the Japanese PSN?

December 18th is when the discs will release at retail. HOPEFULLY they will do a PSN release on that date too, but don't count on it, as nothing has been said officially (though it would be pretty stupid, and practically giving the game to the Xbox 360).

Well that's really sad to hear. And I mean both news. I was really looking forward for this episode and cause now there's a two weeks of waiting and a PS3 demo would be released, I think that my message would sound bit... outdated. And my hopes only for the PSN demo, no demo discs were I live.

I thought Capcom had already stated no PS3 RE5 demo this year. I figured it would have been in early Jan but I could be wrong.

I believe there's a little hope to have them a Japanese PSN demo on December 18th.
Though, this mess with XBL corrupting the XBox360 should clarify the whole matter this same week (hopefully)

Something to mention on the podcast. It looks like RE5 will have its own variation on the blue medallions from RE4. Did anyone else find this?
