EBGames have started taking pre-orders for the Resident Evil 5 strategy guides in Australia. There are two different variants: a standard and a limited collector's guide, and they are both set with a date of 15th February 2009. It's worth noting that a "15th" date in the EBGames system means either a release on that day or an unconfirmed date during February.
It's unknown if these are the same guides that are available for pre-order on Amazon, but the supplier has stressed that the Limited Edition guide will pretty much be available to pre-orders only, and as such a must order item from your closest retailer.
