  • Dead Rising 2 Announced - First Screens

Dead Rising 2 has been announced by Capcom USA today, confirming not only the Blue Castle Games rumour but also the Las Vegas kind of setting. The full press release and screenshots are available to view at Capcomunication.

Dead Rising 2 is being developed in partnership with up and coming Canadian developer Blue Castle Games. A number of members from the original Dead Rising team will be working alongside Blue Castle Games throughout the development process, including Capcom’s global head of research and development, Keiji Inafune, who as the game’s Producer will play an active role in the project.

    Thanks to Capcomunication.

It does. Either just make your own mini thumbs for now and link the big ones through the thumbs or evt. use the auto-thumbs from imageshack or something. Dot50Cal' have to fix the hosting manually until the image system is ready.

A lot more screens in the press kit:

We were pretty sure that Dead Rising 2 video was real on Friday, now we're positive, with Capcom officially announcing the game coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

No Frank? I hope he at least makes a cameo.

So, I just thought of something. If this new main character isn't a photojournalist, does that mean this game won't have the the whole "take pictures to earn experience" mechanic?

It probably won't be as integral a part of the game, but I see no reason why you won't be able to pick up cameras and use them.
