Capcom appoints THQ as distributor in Australia and New Zealand
London February 10th, 2009 – Capcom® today announced that it has appointed THQ Asia Pacific Pty Ltd., a subsidiary of THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI), as the sole distributor of its titles in Australia and New Zealand. Under the terms of the agreement, THQ Asia Pacific will be responsible for the distribution, sales and marketing for Capcom’s releases in this territory, effective immediately.
THQ Asia Pacific will launch the distribution relationship with the highly anticipated Street Fighter™IV and Resident Evil™ 5, which are scheduled for release for both Sony Computer Entertainment’s PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) and the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft on February 20th and March 13th respectively, as well as Dead Rising™: Chop Til You Drop which is due for release on the Nintendo Wii on February 27th. In addition, THQ Asia Pacific will handle distribution for MotoGP™ on the Nintendo Wii and Neopets® Puzzle Adventure scheduled for release on the Nintendo Wii, DS and PC platforms.
