  • Japanese BSAA Website English Translation Project

This is fan dedication at its finest. The-Horror forum member Prime Blue has started a project where he's made a sort of English version duplicate of the Japanese BSAA website. The original Japanese website can be put through online translation filters, but the results with them are odd at best. Prime Blue has vowed to keep his version of the website updated with the original website's updates so keep checking back.

This is amazing. Thanks Prime Blue! The info is great....and Chris really is a high member of the BSAA. The virus info is nice to read as well.

yeah that is awesum, the virus reads are brilliant, although im not sure if the creation method of T-veronica is entirely correct.

the site says queen ant virus plus plant plus progenitor, i was always led 2 believe its queen ant virus and progenitor. we'll see wat the game says.

it gives me confidence that the weird infectants in the game will be explained, i just hope its feasible!

Yeah it depends. It said in CV that it was an ancient virus found in the genes of a Queen Ant mixed with the Progenitor Virus, Alexia never mentioned anything about using plants.

Another odd thing is the G-Virus file says that the G-Virus can "raise the dead." Unless I'm misunderstanding what they mean.

Just like it was never mentioned that the Progenitor virus was discovered in Africa...which is what Capcom told us to refer to (I don't remember the interview, perhaps someone could help with this). Some of these things may have been lost in translation, or they're just retcons.

In any case, cool man. Weird that we still haven't gotten a concrete source on what "G" stands for (though I guess it's implied that it stands for God).

willy B was pretty much dead when the G kicked in, the site probably meant its able to rejuvenate dead cells

                          That's a good point.

A-J called it right. The translation isn't perfect, so don't take everything as it reads. The G-virus part there is in reference to Annette Birkin's words in RE2 about the virus revitalising cellular functions.

Also, it's pretty literal, as the G-virus does revive a creature (not the original creature, but a creature nontheless) while the T-virus merely produces an empty, violent husk (hence, "living dead").

That's definitely another possibility, what with the method of proper transferal. The "God" idea comes from the virus being "sheer perfection," and of course the treatment for it called "DEVIL."

For a while I thought William Birkin's G-transformation was a fluke because of his being so close to death at the time of the injection. I figured a healthy specimen would have powers more or less like Wesker. It seems Curtis has disproved this though.
