If they cover RE4 and the movies in the next episode... what will episode 6 be about? Maybe just RE5? Hmm...

Man, Capcom needs to make a GOOD Outbreak game for this generation systems. It's such a fantastic idea.

            These retrospectives are awesome.

GT are using the same song that Dot uses at the end of the podcasts. (at 10:04)

I think RE5 does the whole multiplayer/teamwork aspect well enough. The critical flaw with Outbreak was that the situations were far too large, difficult and confusing to be shared between four people who couldn't directly communicate. The labyrinthine level design and key fetching I found to often be more confusing than the main additions to the actual franchise. This isn't inherently bad considering Resident Evil was founded upon exploration and a experiencing a degree of suspense/frustration, but it was incredibly annoying when you didn't have control over the situation like in a single player RE game. I do think the Outbreak formula holds a lot of potential, and it stressed survival horror like no other entries in the series but it was kind of for the wrong reasons. It was way too easy for someone to ruin the method of puzzles or escape if they didn't know what they were doing. I don't want to say the Outbreak games should have been "dumb-downed" but they really could have used a dose of linearity at times. Levels like Hellfire were... well, hell. If Capcom could nail a vibe between satisfying partner-based action like RE5 and the exploration, puzzle solving elements and suspense of Outbreak, it would be a pretty winning formula.

That's what I meant. Outbreak had real problems, but great ideas.

Firstly, allow people to actually communicate with one another.

Another great episode. Gosh, I love these retrospectives. They're really fun to watch. I'm surprised they covered all the mobile games though. I wasn't expecting that.

I'm glad they spent the most time covering Outbreak. I absolutely love those games. *lip quiver* Have to admit though, when the narrator was explaining the save system in Outbreak, I laughed pretty hard when he said, "So, when you died, so did your dreams of finishing that scenario." Haha!

I'm curious to see what they say about the movies in the next episode. I wasn't expecting them to cover those either, but I am curious!

Also, GT said it isn't possible to strafe in Dead Aim, but I'm almost positive you actually can.

You can strafe in Dead Aim. You hold down either L2 or R2, but I can't remember which one. You can move and shoot at the same time, too.
