    1Up caps off their week-long look at Resident Evil 5 with an extensive preview of the final review build of the game. As the title suggests, the preview lists thirty things you may or may not already know about Resident Evil 5.

    Get To The Point Already: The research notes and journals are pretty long-winded, but you should read them for the backstory nonetheless. RE5 does a lot to put the vast, labyrinthine Resident Evil plot in perspective and context.



    Hell Yeah, Secrets!: RE5 has some unlockables that fans of the series will be very happy to see. This probably goes without saying, but it's obvious that the dev team covered all their bases when it came to the game's bonus features. Or most of them, at least. We still haven't found Akuma.

      ....RE5 is not a short game, especially when compared to earlier entries in the series. But it's a more concise experience than RE4's unnecessarily lengthy 30-hour gunfest (remember the castles? Yeah you do).

          I honestly didn't need to know that useless info. I wanna know spoilers!! Like all the weapons, bonus modes, and secrets. I don't wanna wait til the games out.

            Those two parts were my favorites too. I can only wonder at the extent of the developers "covering all their bases..." in terms of the unlockables. Large roster for mercs, spanning the series, perhaps?

              If we're getting more QTE then we better damn well get another laser room. I wanna see Chris and Sheva dodge that in co-op!

                I hate laser rooms. No matter where you are, even in the middle of an isolated Spanish island, you still find laser rooms. Always so out of place. Please God, do not bring another laser room into RE5. It's been so overdone.

                  Sorry Alexia, but I love 'em. So I hope we get one. But if you hate them so much, if we DO get one, you could always do it with your eyes closed.

                    Laser rooms are dumb and copied straight from the films. It turns all of the moderately normal characters we know from the first games into acrobatics and they are always out of place and do not fit in with the setting, and have no real purpose. I don't see why they'd have a laser room in Africa.

                              Jill and Chris did the exact same thing in UC...and it wasn't cool at all. I agree with Alexia...the laser rooms are probably one of the most idiotic things to ever include in the games.
