If the trailers are any indication, the dialogue is an overall improvement for the series. Plus, I don't know if it's just me, but it sounds like D.C. Douglas's work as Wesker is A LOT better than the laughable performance he delivered in Umbrella Chronicles.

I'm not sure if that's really fair to Douglas. From what I gathered, they wanted him to imitate Richard Waugh rather than really make the role his own. It seems like this time around he's been given more freedom to offer his own interpretation of the character and his voice rather than simply trying to sound like someone else. I could be wrong, though.

That would make a lot of sense...because he was pretty dreadful in Umbrella Chronicles.

The shit he says while fighting Lisa Trevor is bad enough, but the way he delivered the lines were just plain cringe-worthy.
