Okay, I've been thinking about this a lot, and this is what I came to...

I can't honestly say that Sheva was a better choice of partner for Chris than Jill. That's just not true. Chris and Jill have always been and will always be partners. Jill would've been a better choice because:

A. Sheva's entire reason for being his partner was because of her familiarity with the region. How often did that come into play? Not often at all. I would've loved to have seen more of Sheva's role as a liaison to Africa, instead of just a throw-in partner.

And B. Jill's role in RE5 was fucking pathetic and stupid. I would definitely rather have seen Jill's role in RE5 be more prominent than just a stupid plot device.

This being said...it's completely unfair to rip on Sheva just because she isn't Jill.
Sheva was his partner and Jill wasn't...so get over it.

I'm not complaining, Sheva is one fine lady and better looking than Jill (and actually a good character, something that bland Jill Valentine is not).

Sheva wasn't a bad character, I mean I would have loved to have Chris and Jill with Barry saving the day somehow but the new characters were fine. The game was mostly about Chris vs Wesker so whether it was Jill or Sheva, they both would have been overshadowed.

There is nothing wrong with Sheva in my opinion. They have to make new characters from time to time to "Freshin" the game up a bit, you can only use the same characters so many times before it starts to loose the "Awesomness" to it. I Really enjoy playing as Sheva, though I doubt she will be in any other RE titles for a long time, if ever.

Who knows? Only time will tell.
