Nintendo President "Why isn't RE5 on Wii Capcom ?"

MTV's Multiplayer blog has posted some new GDC 2009 content in the form of some developer interviews. At the end of the interview Nintendo US's President Reggie Fils-Aime gets to ask a question to Capcom. He asks...

“Why wasn’t ‘Resident Evil‘ and other key Capcom releases that are in the marketplace now… why wasn’t there a Wii execution?”

The article ends there with an ominous "To be concluded tomorrow" message. The answer from Capcom's Chris Kramer will be revealed tomorrow so check back on MTV's Multiplayer blog tomorrow for Kramer's response.

Why? Because Wii can't handle the power of RE5...

Nintendo just brought this to themselves, if they continue to support the casual gamer trend they're gonna miss a lot of games; and get watered-down ports of great games.
Dead Space on wii? On rails shooter. RE on Wii? On rails shooter.
And games with potential are being skipped because of this trend; yeah right I prefer Cooking Mama over Winter (a survival horror game that promised a lot but didn't get a publisher...).

It's in your hands Nintendo, not in Capcom's.

it's kind of silly for Reggie to call out capcom like this ..

capcom has given them 2 resident evil games the last year, 2 this year (ports yeah, but hey, nintendo themselves are re-releasing cube games for the wii too) dead rising a little while ago, and have already pledged another resident evil game exclusively for the wii.

AND they're making monster hunter 3 a wii exclusive. That game alone will sell multi-million units in japan.
