  • Examiner.com article on Prototypes of Famous Games

    Examiner.com has a tiny article about 8 prototype versions of famous games.

    Awesomely enough for us Resident Evil fans, they've managed to fit in a whole whooping two Resident Evil games on their list of only eight. Although there's not much, it's still nice to see that people outside the Resident Evil community acknowledge and appreciate their existence and pay their respect to them.

    The titles mentioned are;

    #8. Resident Evil 3.5
    and
    #1. Resident Evil 1.5

    Great article. I love how people are starting to see what could've been, and how they are worshipping what we might not ever play.

      Good find. I enjoyed reading about Ico and Shenmue (and I had no idea about the Sonic 2 prototype), two games I've heard such great things about but I was never able to play.

          "Resident Evil 3.5" is the result of lead developer Shinji Mikami createing a game that was near completion

            Sigh. 3.5 footage always makes me sigh sadly with thoughts of what could've been for RE4. God, 3.5 looked so neat.

              Holy Crap! I never knew ICO was made on the old playstation, that looks incredible! I'd love to find a playable rom of that! I wonder what the technical limitation was, I mean from that video it looks like it was going great.
