Happy to see this. I was planning on recording the cutscenes in 480p off the Biohazard versions, but the Japanese subtitles kinda ruined that plan ;)

I'm just hoping that the US release, which works out cheaper for me, will be two separate games in a cardboard case or something.

A minor gripe, but more of a collection kind of concern.

i guarentee the game will come on 2 disc for msoother loading, so we might get one of those double disc sets, but for me its not a zeta problem. im jsut happy for a release, but do we have an official date cause the article says june but wiki says end of the year.

The games won't be sold together. They'll be sold separately for $30 each.

well now i need a wii
probably because Nintendo still holds license towards them.

That said, owning 3 copies of each on GCN, I'm going to pass on this for the Wii.
bigger base doesn't mean better games. in my opinion, the GC still has better games.

i like switching discs. makes me feel less lazy.

being on 2 discs wouldn't make it any smoother. considering each GC disc held 1.5 GB space, times that by 4, you'd still have over 2.5 of space left on a Wii optical disc. therefore, it'd be pointless to release them as separate discs.

CAPCOM knows better than to do that. Otherwise, stupid business move to even re-release them in the first place. CAPCOM would be smart to follow Sega's deal with HotD compilation.

woo, i quoted alot at once.

We're talking about a company that released straight ports of 2, 3, and CODE: Veronica for the GameCube and sold them at full price.

Even though I've never had a problem just playing my GC REmake and Zero on the Wii, I am looking forward to this release. It gives me the opportunity to replay everything again, especially REmake. I can't wait to battle it out through all the different difficulty levels. Going through "Invisible Enemy" mode again will be great. :3

Plus, I'm glad we're getting BOTH REmake and Zero for $30. $30 for each would be ridiculous.

                    I didn't say such a thing.

I meant that because the GCN copies are hard to find, and the Wii user base probably has more people interested in playing the games then there are copies out there, a re-release is justified.

Even though retailers are already listing them as one product?

I think that's a different story. Those games, except for RE2, has not been released on previous Nintendo consoles. So they're "new" to "Nintendo users". Unlike in the REmake and Zero, they are already in GC and can even be played on Wii.

The latest Nintendo Power apparently confirms that the games will be sold separately as "Resident Evil Archive: Resident Evil" and "Resident Evil Archive: Resident Evil Zero" for $30 each.

I love this news. I especially love that they're going to be released together. I may actually buy it even though I own the games on GC already.

Well...we'll see by the end of this month or maybe around next month whether it will be
$29.99 for both games or for each. I doubt it will be for each since UC just had a price
drop to $29.99 considering it's a new game. As for Remakes of 2-CV I believe either
they will remake them by the end of the year (at least RE2) through mid-next year or not
                                bother with them at all.

Getting back to replay-ability of Zero, for me back in the GC (I still own) It was the
game along with RECVX that I went through a full run twice. Idk, I wasn't as hectic for
beating it that many times but there's one thing that kept going back and found
addicting was the Leech Hunting mode...God! that mode was so fun, I think I played it
more than 50 times even after unlocking everything. XD

Either way I'm still buying the games even though I already have the entire cannon
series on the GC already and because I just love it so much.
