Resident Evil 5 NPD Sales Results

The March 2009 NPD Results for the US are out, and Resident Evil 5 had a really strong showing. The game managed to sell great numbers on both the PS3 and 360. More so on the 360 but that was expected.

The 360 version sold 938k units, where as the PS3 version sold a respectable 585k units.

i expected the PS3 version to sell higher, considering it more or less a 4-1 sales shot in Japan against the 360 version (obviously, knowing the 360 user base there isn't as big).

i also expected it to sell more on the PS3 simple because RE had a longer run on Sony's systems than any other.

goes to show that a bigger user base can change everything.

This is American numbers correct? America is blinded by Microsoft, Europe is usually Sony's ground, so compared to Japan, and all off of Europe, I'm pretty sure Sony is not crying considering Europe is bigger then the USA.

If it's selling this well I hope that Capcom considers to make new DLCs. The Versus mode was pretty unsatisfying.
