Oh yeah, I was thinking about something the other day. This year, 2009, has three Friday the 13ths. The last one happens to occur in November. IIRC, they slated it for a November release?
Capcom says it'll be out Winter 2009, and Nov 13 is pretty near so it wouldn't surprise me if they do it again.

Very interesting. I love the renders of Claire and Leon, and the music is pretty impressive, too. Reading the blog made me wibble, though. They certainly described RE2 very well, and it sounds like they know what they are doing (surprisingly). I hope this means they are really focusing on keeping RE2's main theme the same. I'm really hoping to see more explored about Sherry. Maybe a flashback with her parents or something. But, that's probably asking too much.

I was kind of thrown back that they labeled the Birkins as a "happy" family. I was never under the impression the family was really close, if at all. Both William and Annette were work-obsessed and particularly ignored Sherry. Sure, Annette apologized for this in Claire's B-Scenario, but she was trying to make amends because she was dying. I sincerely doubt had both William and Annette lived that they would've suddenly began doting attention on their daughter. Maybe it's just me, but I like the idea their family was extremely strained throughout the years. I guess, to me, it makes the whole theme of family much more tragic in RE2. Especially when you parallel it to CVX's theme with family, which explores a deep bond between Chris and Claire and then Alfred's tragically unhealthy obsession with Alexia.

I smell a family theme all together in Darkside Chronicles. That concept actually excites me, so I hope it falls through.

Leon's hair sadly seems to have gone back to looking like RE2 except the coloring seems darker. Oh well.
        You're complaining about his hair....really? >_>

As for the game, there is so much potential for so many compelling plot points. I just hope Capcom/Cavia deliver. =P

I wonder how much of this game will be spoiled in trailers by the time it releases.

          If it's anything like RE5, I'm gonna say 40-50%.

I hope not! From what I remember of all the Umbrella Chronicles trailers, we mostly only saw cluttered clips, switching back between showing off the xtremez Wii-mote abilities and cutscenes, and I actually hope they keep the same design for Darkside Chronicles. I'd really prefer them not unveil (possible) new plot points. Possible completely new environments should stay under wraps, too. It's not cool being completely spoiled.

i dont remember them showing off the russian level so they might now show the new level. they'll probably just
show half the cutscenes from RE2 and half the cutscenes from RE:CVX

Yeah, I agree with all of that. The Birkin family was a fragmented one, it seemed to me. Not that they didn't care for each other, but it wasn't what I would call close at all. That's precisely why I want to see some interaction between the three of them (like before HUNK and his team arrive to cause havoc).

They had a whole trailer dedicated to the Russia scenario. I think the only scenarios they didn't show off were the last two of Wesker's and HUNK's. Though we did see bits of the cutscenes from Wesker's last two scenarios in various trailers.

What? People complained about Wesker's look in RE5 when we first saw it. Though I guess technically this isn't the first time seeing Leon's hair like that. Well the style. The coloring is different probably because of graphics.

Well of course his hair is going to look like it did in RE2. That's kinda the point, isn't it?

I hope we get to see what Birkin looks like and here more about the other scenarios.

Naturally. People complain if the face is like in RE4 ("capcom is so lazy!!!) and when hey change it ("why they changed it, oh noeeez").

                              looking sharp

if you remember they marketed the hell out of UC
with so many trailers. I think that RE2 is enough to sell this.

I just hope they don't spoil everything in the trailers..

Other than an obligatory I personally don't think much will be spoiled, especially since we know much of RE2 as is, I would imagine the trailers will show more things we've seen rather than many brand new things.

                                I hope, anyway. 8D
