  • Resident Evil Archives - REmake Boxart

GoNintendo, via Gamefly, has posted the boxart for the re-release of REmake on Nintendo Wii, titled "Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil." While it was recently confirmed by Nintendo Power that the Wii ports of Resident Evil 0 and REmake would be sold separately for $29.99 each, this boxart should finally put an end to the speculation that the two games would be sold together for $29.99.

      Sick artwork, loving it.

Oh also, let's definitely be quick to moan about a whole TWO budget priced games.

It was too good to be true. Gotta start saving big bucks to get this one! I dig the cover!

And just in case there are those who still don't believe the games will be sold separately:

                OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOES!!1!

Two games, for the price of one, aimed at a crowd who probably hasn't played them. Big deal.

                  T__T

I'll probably buy the REmake only.

I'll have to see what changes are made before I decide to buy.

Shit I thought they would be together, I guess for a second I forgot that it was capcom publishing the game.

                        There are no changes.

I think in REmake you can shake the Wiimote to enter the Aim stance, but that's it. These are just straight ports of the GameCube games.

Also guys its the Wii so these RE wiimakes have gotta have some perks.

I still hope the US version of Wiiro has the enhancements of Wiimake added to it (Since Wiimake came out after Wiiro in Japan, it had some extra touches added)

                            Both Japanese versions had:
-480p support (GC version was 480i only)
                            -GameCube Controller support
                            -Classic Controller support
-Wii remote + Nunchuk Controller support

                            Japanese Wiimake had:
-Widescreen aspect ratio fix (Adds vertical letterboxing to maintain the game's 4:3 aspect ratio if your Wii is set to widescreen)
-Wii Remote Controller support (hold the Wii remote sideways)

Feature added somewhere, but forgot if it was in Wiiro:
-When using Wii Remote + Nunchuk, you can set an option that allows you to tilt the Wii remote up/down to aim high/low)

Also, kinda nice cover there. I hope that the design of it means that more than just Wiimake and Wiiro will come out (and/or that evt. re-printed budget releases of Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 4 will follow the same design)

It'd be best if the covers were like the New Play Control games, though (those covers are double sided. The default side is the "framed" New Play Control cover, while if you flip it, it's got full size front cover art and everything, like any original game release would have)

In that case, no thanks. I'll stick with my GC versions.
