Thats one of the major things that I have beef with in Umbrella Chronicles... it's constantly been implied that Wesker was actually in the city at the time (mainly through the actual rescue of Ada Wong who clearly wouldn't have survived the fall without Wesker actually being there). Yet UC tries to tell us otherwise.

It was never really implied. Blame the translation work. There is no actual mention of Wesker saving her life. Also, in the English translation, it's largely based on context. You simply took it the wrong way. =P

After cooperating with Leon, emotions not present in Ada began to surface. I had a bad feeling. I had to work fast, or else. I was right. Ada cornered Leon who managed to collect the G-virus, but was overcome by her personal feelings and choose death. But there may come a time when she can prove her worth. She won't live long if she does not.
