To port the game a third time is a waste and a remake is not needed. I think this is just a typo. They probably would have announced it first before putting it on the release date list.

Wii is capable of rendering graphics superior to the PS1 RE3, and classic support is included on all non-on-rail RE wii games.

Though it'll be good if its true, I believe its just an error.
