Reaaaaaaaaaally tempted to get RE2 ... though I want to check my local GameStop since I have seen the GC RE2 release there before. >_> Hmmm ... decisions.

This is great news though. I am going to pimp out all 3 games to everybody I know, because I think it's so cool they can give the games a go now and have easy access to it.

What the hell are you guys whining about? You have so many chances to play this. You can easily open up a US PSN account on your PS3 and it looks like you already know English. Then to pay, you can just buy the PSN cards online anywhere like Ebay. They can email you the code. So easy.

The rare people like me, on the other hand, who want to get certain things from the European stores have NO real options. There are no PSN cards in Europe and none of the virtual visa cards work with Europe PSN.

there's so many other ways to hook a PS1 game onto a PSP.

I could be wrong, but even if I go to all the trouble of grabbing this off the American site I was under the impression that the region locking was still active for PS1 and DVD's and, as such, this would be about as useful to European folk as a swift kick in the groin.

Fortunately I always go with the hardcopy.

No they weren't. Well for one, they weren't "illegal", and two, i had all the games listed in this thread working fine on my PSP.

I've downloaded Metal Gear, Final Fantasy 7 and RE: DC from the US PSN and they work fine for me in the UK. That's the reason so many people recommend setting up a US PSN account to get stuff.

That's useful to know. I was under the impression that the PS3 wouldn't let you use different region games that weren't PS3. Does that include the hard copy though? I have a few American games lying around (and an American PS2 that needs a new power cable) so I might try that later...

Ditto. Especially with something like POPS loader.

Exactly. Early on, compatibility was a bit of a pain and required a few things to be tweaked, but as they are now they're fine as far as i can remember.

I HATE THE GIF YOU POSTED SOOO MUCH, I kept looking at it for at least a min, I feel like i've wasted a min of my life lol

It is a shame that we don't all get the psn games at once, but to be honest FF7 was the game I really wanted on the PSN, so i'm happy

The region locking is active for the HARD copy. The PSN games don't have this "feature." The game should work perfectly fine on the Region B PS3. Region B PS3 supports NTSC 480i (but Region A doesn't support Pal) so I don't see where you could run into an issue.

Make a fake PSN account with a US address. Simply buy a PSN code off ebay or whatever. Now you can purchase the game on the US PSN. Should play without any hickups.

Downloading the PSN versions makes no difference on your PSP if you have CFW or not. More hyperbole from the CFW crowd to look cool?
