no need to flaunt opinions around like facts though.

Wow sure is lame in here. Reviews and opinion = pretty much crap IMO because regardless of how amazing anything is, it is not fact like many have said.

I love games that have basically gotten crap reviews. Person opinion and all that. I roll my eyes at people who actually follow reviews and base opinions off of that rather than their own experience.

Anyway though, I am glad this game for such good reviews. It's great exposure for these two titles.

I never go by reviews, Over Blood on the ps1 didn't get good remarks but I still love that game today.
Shall be picking up a remake on the wii, it will be a reason to play the wii I guess.

Me too, but production value in OverBlood was pretty cheap, especially compared to Resident Evil. The controls still drive me crazy to this day.

I remember buying OverBlood brand-new, and it had a sticker on the cellophane-wrap that proclaimed "If you like Resident Evil, you'll love OverBlood!"...
          I'm a blackstar.

            I'd give it a 4 :/
Unless you are a collector, save yourself $30 and stick to your gamecube remake.

$30 for this game is a fuckin' rip, whether you're buying it to play or collecting it. why couldn't they bundle this shit with Zero, i mean seriously, the Metriod Prime trilogy is $50 and has 3 games (even if it is on a single disc, which i think is stupid and suffocating).

Can someone point out to me the point of buying this game? I've asked various people and not yet had a reply. It is exactly the same game as the GameCube version, which can be played on the Wii. I'd understand if it was a re-release on a separate console, but they're releasing an identical game on a console it can already be played on. Absolutely nothing warrants a purchase when you could get the GC version much cheaper and play it in exactly the same way. Could someone please explain this to me, if they've bought it? O.O

                  Collection purposes, I'd wager.

                  (I haven't bought it myself.)

Well, I bought it yesterday and I am playing it right now. I did not want to spend 30 bucks on this but when I saw the game in the shop, I just could not help it, I had to buy it -_-

The point of buying this game ? Well, if you really want an excuse : the game is on one disc only, and it allows for 8 save slots instead of 5 (I think ?)... yeah this is so not worth 30 bucks, I know, but hey, I'm a Capcom whore. I also think it has a savefile, but I still have to finish the game to see if I'm right.

I will say I almost did buy this the other day on a whim. I traded in some games at the local video game store here, and I ended up with far more store credit than I had anticipated. I ended up resisting the temptation though and instead bought some Microsoft Points for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled.

...not really sure why I shared this story now that I think about it. Though the release of this for the Wii did make me want to go back and play through it again, which I'll probably do before too long. I'll just use my GameCube version instead.

The 480p option is excellent. Looks splendid.

I going to buy this for collection reasons but in no rush to get this game. I'm suprised this game didn't get a lower score because there was nothing really added to the game. RE 2 and 3 for gamecube got low scores as they were ports where RE 4 for PS2 and Wii got high scores because of new things that were added.

They want our pennies so bad? Then stick 1.5 in something. Hell, it's the only way I'd ever spend money on the fourth RE movie: a free 1.5 disc with every ticket.
