Jill Valentine in Marvel vs Capcom 2

Not exactly Resident Evil, but Jill Valentine is a playable character in the forth coming Marvel vs Capcom 2, scheduled to release on the XBLA and PSN later this month.

Game Trailers have put up two videos featuring gameplay strategies for playing as Jill, and a story teaser focusing on the rivalry between Jill and Storm from the X-men franchise.

Ha I use to own with Jill in that game. I still can't believe how much I paid for an orginal copy a few years back, I guess it's good that people can just download it for cheaper now. They should really make MvsC3, where you can play as Chris, Leon, Jill, Wesker, etc. Wesker (RE5 version of course) would be an awesome fighter lol.

^ lol, this game rocks on it's own. Personally I like playing as Silver Samurai and Cable.

I hope there are people more or less in my skill level, i.e. barely able to pull off combos/air combos. I can't wait for this game. I love it too much and I'm glad it's going online.

why couldnt they put someone else in there insted of Jill? Jill isnt the only RE character.

Well...I BELIEVE (don't quote me) That Marvel vs Capcom 2 came out a couple months after Resident Evil 3...which is why the VA that played Jill reprised the role in this game. So I think the idea of using Jill was just based on the fact she was the most recent hero of the franchise.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is a 9 year old game...

The trailer/ad itself is new...

And maybe it's just me, but does anyone else interpret half the posts in this topic as treating "Jill is in MVC2" as new? >_>

It's cause Jill is the most popular RE character. It's why she has the most cameos, and is even popular outside the franchise. And is the only RE character to get her own Wikipedia page as well, while everyone else got a shared article, yes even Leon and Wesker. I think that quite clearly says Jill is the most popular right there.

Another example is, type in Claire Redfield on Google images, and it goes, Did you mean Jill Valentine? Obviously Jill is the most Googled RE character, thus the most popular. And Wikipedia know this.

It is indeed bullshit. At no point did Google ask me if I meant Jill Valentine after I had typed in Claire Redfield. It's laughable to even suggest it would do that. Google corrects spelling mistakes in your searches, it doesn't see a name and then suggest something more popular in the franchise its from.

I'd also like to point out that Wesker also gets his own page on Wikipedia.

EDIT: I see it says related searches. Not did you mean... Still is gives a link to Jill, no other RE characters has that happen to them.
