New Resident Evil The Darkside Chronicles Screens

Capcom have released some screenshots and 2 videos over at Comic-Con 09. The 2 videos were shown few days ago online at Gamespot.

I'm actually impressed at how much they have pushed the Wii technology.

The specular map on Birkin coming through that doorway is looking very nice.

Seeing Birkin's face mashed into his mutated form always made me so sad. :[ But, really, everything looks so beautiful. I'm amazed at how loyal they are being to the character designs and environments.

Brilliant Willam's second from is great that's another one in the bag all we need to see is the middle 3rd mutation (the final battle on A before he mutates into a dog) then his 4th and his final mutation.

Textures are really low-res and dithered, but 3d models (especially those of characters) look great.

This game seems like it's going to be a little bit of fun to play, but not easy on the eyes, IMO... specular mapping is about the only thing I see that tries to makeup for low-resolution textures, but even at it's worst, you gotta give kudos to CAPCOM for being determined to make this a [somewhat] visually-acceptable title, especially given the fact it's basically running on a GameCube, er, Wii...

The game is looking excellent so far! The textures are a bit iffy, but I don't think they're meant to be seen that close anyway. Birkin looks fantastic! Are there any screens of his first stage yet?
