That's... So so SO lame. Twitter was the best thing to happen for all the people out there who actually think anybody cares about what they are doing. I have an account because I wanted to see what the buzz was about and all that confirmed is that it indeed is lame street in lame town, lameshire.
The idea is lame because we all know that Leon and Claire are fictional characters (they don't exist), so that anything that is posted on these blogs is merely coming from people at Capcom. It sounds like something an 8-year old would do.
Am I the only one who thinks that this Twitter idea is stupid?
Not at all. It's bad enough that regular (real-life) people feel compelled to "tweet" inane details about daily life on the interwebs, and that other people follow it. But for fictional characters to be tweeting as well...that's just nauseating.
But Leon seems like the kind of pompous mouth-breather who would "tweet" his heart out.
It's a cute marketing idea, even though it is coming from Capcom staff - it does give us a little bit more information about the characters and their interests.
^I suppose. If it is handled the same way as Capcom did with Adam's blog for RE5, then it may well be worth it.
I don't even follow blogs, but I was so interested in finding out who the blonde girl was for RE5 that I tried to keep up to date with Adam's ultimately entertaining ramblings.
^ Same here. The Adam blogs were actually meaningful and interesting and were better that those viral videos that were put out. As far as twitter I never got into that and have more of a reason not to now.
So, is this past Leon (pre-RE4) currently sitting at a laptop in the future, using a medium (Twitter) that had not been invented before the events in RE4, concerning the mission he had in South America with a then new partner (Krauser) who Leon or Ada killed in 2004, back before - as I mentioned - Twitter was created?
